BVI remains the top choice among hotels in Borrego Springs, a rating given after years of visiting that town during its many ups and downs. The staff are helpful and accommodating at every turn; the rooms are comfortable, if small. You can unplug if you...More

Thank you very much for taking time to share your experiences about your recent stay. You are right that we have been very fortunate in navigating the Great Recession -- mostly because 60+% of our stays come from our loyal repeat guests. And thanks for...More

Wow, thanks for sharing those astronomical pictures! It was great to have the NIGHTFALL astronomy folks back in town again this year. We're always delighted to see how much our astronomer guests love observing and photographing the night sky from their private, enclosed back patios....More

There wasn't any hotel that came close to the Borrego Valley Inn on our recent trip around California. This is truly an oasis in every respect. The rooms are small but extremely comfortable. The only sound is an occasional coyote howling. Two huge swimming pools...More

We like to under-promise and over-deliver, so we are pleased your experience exceeded expectations. And you are right that the rooms are all a bit different, with six different types, so it's always good to look at the Rooms Map page under the Accommodations menu...More

The BVI is a gorgeous 'oasis' in Borrego Springs. Lovely private rooms and fantastic staff who answered every question (we booked out the whole hotel - minus one room) plus they laid on a private BBQ for us (thank you Pamela and Luisa), and took...More

I wrote a review but it disappeared. We had the most relaxing two days here. We loved the clothing optional pool. Shame we were the only ones using it. The breakfast basket (done in "off"season)was above and beyond what we expected. Wonderful. Just so peaceful...More

It sure sounds like you made the most of your visit -- relaxing! That's the treasure. We're pleased to know you enjoyed some lazy pool time and Chef Pamela's amazing breakfast baskets -- she sure knows how to make a picnic! But most important, we're...More

There was not a telescope when we stayed here, but I did bring my own binoculars. Star-gazing is a must here!

Pets are not allowed. A while back there was another owner who DID allow dogs, but not the current owner. We switched from staying at BVI to staying at La Casa del Zorro, which does allow dogs.
