Detailed Reviews
This property is super cute. It's in a more rustic part of wine country so it's a great way to get away for the week or weekend. It's super quiet and VERY pet friendly, which is huge for us. The rooms are spacious and modern, and the bathtub is a dream. What really sets this place apart is the AMAZING staff. Alex and Alex (yes they are both named Alex) are so accommodating and hospitable! To say they went above and beyond to provide us the best stay possible would be a gross understatement.
Finally, their COVID accommodations are wonderful. The room was deep cleaned, they have sanitation stations everywhere, and they are always wearing masks.
I wish I could give them 6 stars.

We wanted a close getaway that was clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious. Sonoma Coast Villa checked all of those boxes and then some! I was happily surprised by layout and design of the property and our room. There was plenty of Areas around the property to walk around and discover a little nooks and crannies. There was a swimming pool, garden area, miniature golf, and an outdoor movie area.
Our room had a king size bed with built-in headboard with track lights. The bed was super comfortable as well as the pillows and there was ample room on each side of the bed. The beams in the ceiling were lit up with track lights, which was a nice touch. There is a comfortable brown couch in the middle of the living room area sitting directly in front of the fireplace. One which you can add wood to. There was a mini fridge to keep any left overs in and a Keurig Coffee maker. The bathroom has a large vanity mirror and walk in shower ( no shower hose).
Staff was friendly and upbeat. They made us feel welcomed and to top it off a continental breakfast basket was left at our door. How thoughtful! We has a wonderful time in peace and quiet, loved everything about our stay. We’ll be back.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa. We booked a hillside room midweek; the room was really spacious and wonderfully decorated and even had a wood burning fireplace. The hotel provided snacks and a large bottle of water, which we really appreciated. The pool area was quaint and relaxing to lounge around, and the indoor hot tub was wonderful. We had great fun at the small putting green and enjoyed the stroll around the property to the pond and saw some Longhorns grazing. The resort showed a movie in the evening and we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit, watching the movie and making s’mores!
The location is a few miles from Bodega Bay and convenient for hiking Bodega Head/Bay trail and enjoying fresh seafood in that area. We had a wonderful time and it is definitely my favorite place now for a quick get away!

There were spider webs all over the room and spiders crawling everywhere in the room. There was a spider even crawling on the head board. There was no air conditioning so the room was a sweat box. Room 3 is a higher priced room bc it’s by the pool but it was terrible. A huge mosquito flew at me in bed. There was also a huge hornet in my room. I was quoted around $323 for the room but had other fees added on that I was not made aware of so my room ended up costing $404. If you like insects all over your room and sweating then this is the perfect place for you.

My wife and I needed to escape from the fires and smoke in Sonoma Valley and decided to take a chance with staying at Sonoma Coast Villa Resort & Spa. The first sign that our three-day stay may turn out well occurred when we checked in at the front desk. The hotel manager, Alex, warmly greeted us and escorted us to our room. Along the way, it was obvious that he was a professional who genuinely cared for the best interest of hotel guests. Adjacent to the swimming pool, our room was immaculately clean along with a well-stocked refrigerator. The overall environment of the property was one of tranquility and old-world beauty.
By the time we concluded our stay, we were refreshed and ready to tackle the smoky surroundings of Sonoma Valley. The next time we decide to head for Bodega Bay, we'll give Alex a call and look forward to another enjoyable stay.

We found this resort by accident and would love to go back! The individual villas have private, closed door/open air entry ways. The heated floors are a delight on a cool night. I couldn’t help but use the in-room hot tub, even though it was a warm evening.
Hiked around the property in the morning. The continental breakfast was superb with muffins and breads from a local bakery and fresh fruits!

+1
I have to admit I'm rather mixed about this Sonoma resort hotel. The website photos made it look quite luxuriant, but the reality is that the place felt dated in a state of flux in relation to getaway poshness. When my husband and I decided to spend a weekend in Bodega Bay, this looked like it had possibilities. We definitely liked receiving a complimentary glass of red wine upon check-in.
On the upside, the room we reserved was huge with a fireplace and a sofa. Of course it should be nice for $450 a night (tax included). The Australian rain shower head was a plus in the huge shower stall, and the double sink vanity was set far apart. The cracks started to show with the TV where we discovered our selection menu was stuck on straight porn. Just our luck.
It was obviously the preference of the previous room occupant. The staff was not able to rectify the situation but to no avail. Not even local channels were available, so we decided to refocus on the fireplace. Despite several attempts to spark a lasting flame, the logs just refused to ignite. We were left with the jacuzzi which was already overrun with unsupervised rambunctious children.
That left us alone with our iPhones to watch videos reflecting our own proclivities. Gee, we could've done that at home. We did take advantage of the complimentary s'more kits but only after they were ransacked by the families occupying the other rooms. The breakfast buffet was a bit of a meh, and I'll just let my photo speak for itself. Other amenities included a pool.
There was a play area in the back where a family was playing badminton in the late afternoon. It doubles as an outdoor movie theatre at night. In the lobby was a spiral staircase that led up to a game and reading room with a view. We were informed there was a recent change in ownership, and plans are underway for major renovations. And none too soon.

Stayed in the least expensive set of rooms towards the back of the property and was so pleased -- large room and bathroom, private patio. Very comfortable, cushy bed. I was concerned about all rooms being pet friendly, but our room and linens were clean and smelled nice. Staff gave a warm welcome and quickly toured the grounds, including a little putting green and path to a pond with chairs set out. Lots of trees and birds. Easy access to Bodega Bay. Staff will provide filtered water. Keurig coffee maker in the room. Continental breakfast delivered to your door.

My stay couldn't have been any better. I went there for my uncle's 90th birthday celebration and not only was the resort beautiful with lots to do (movies in the evening, roasting smores, outdoor games) but my room was gorgeous. It was very large with a wood burning fireplace and a private front patio. My room had a complimentary large bottle of water. There was a large room where we held dinner for probably about 60 people and there was a separate room for the buffet dinner. The pool area was great for us to catch up and lounge while the kids went swimming. The breakfast buffet was really delicious! I would recommend this place if you wanted a romantic getaway, a large family event or even a company work/play event.

We arrived early and the room wasn't ready, no biggie as we had not called ahead of time. Went to the beach for lunch and upon returning they remembered us and let us know they gave us a complimentary upgrade due to it being my birthday. It was such a nice surprise!
The room was very lovely, it had a giant jacuzzi tub and a stand-in shower, the bed was very comfortable. There was a fireplace in the room but we didn't use it.
We were told there was a short walk to a pond which we visited and enjoyed the chairs over looking the pond. They also set up a outdoor movie for the guests, we didn't attend but loved the idea.
They delivered a complimentary breakfast right outside our door in a little basket, was a very nice touch.
The staff was so friendly and accommodating, amazing service from everyone we encountered.
This was a perfect experience and we will be back. I've already told several of my friends about this hidden gem, that's only 5 min away from the beach!
Thank you for making my birthday extra special.

I don't know. They are very dog friendly & allow dogs in the rooms and grounds. If dogs are not allowed inside the eating area, there are several tables outside on a covered patio. You can take your breakfast to your room as well. Rooms have a table with chairs.
Sorry, I can't give you any information on pets you'll have to contact them directly.
Our room was great-bathroom was clean and towels were certainly adequate. Nice bathrobes in the room. Very quiet place and good breakfasts. Assuming you have a car the ocean is close
I will add that the innkeeper is not Mr. Personality;but frankly I prefer his type rather than the chatty-cathy type.
