I have stayed at the Mountain View Motel for over 15 years. I was in the Mule Days Celebration for 10 years and have used it continuously several times a year for fishing since then. Just came back from a four day trip. I will say the room was clean....but that pretty much is where I have to start sharing....

Upon check-in we were told that if the power went out just to call; they'd apparently recently switched to solar power and it was probably the breaker. We ventured up the stairs, which are a safety hazzard. By 7pm most of the hotel was in complete darkness; lights flickering on and off. After we stood in the cold for a...

The Mountain View Motel is an older and fairly basic motel, in a quiet location just a couple blocks off hwy 395. It's clean, safe, and inexpensive. Furnishings are older but everything has been in good repair every time I've stayed here. It's become my motel of choice whenever I'm stopping for the night in Bishop.

Let me start by saying I am NOT the type of person who will write a bad review for a spot on the carpet or a stray hair on the sink. I am pretty easy going and only want a clean, safe place to sleep and shower. We usually visit Bishop every Thanksgiving and this was no exception other than...

Coming into town, we found our hotel had over booked us and had to relocate my family and I at 1;30 am....will never use booking.com again... In any case you could tell the lady was very tired, yet still pleasant. She kept our rate the same as the other hotel and was quick to show us our room. The room...

We found this Motel to be a great disappointment .... Homeless family next room 5 kids 2 dogs. Breakfast room was the pool house with an open bag of bread, several open bottles of half to no milk in a dirty fridge, and a cereal dispenser. The room itself was dirty and the door was open for every bug to...

We recently stayed at the Mountain View Motel, where the rates were far more reasonable than at the other motels in Bishop. Privately owned, the folks at the Mountain View Motel were very accommodating and helpful - the service was the best! Though "no frills" in one way - no in-room coffee or shampoo provided - we did have internet...

After hiking for many days, we called around to find a hotel with a bathtub and pool. Very few had pools , we stumbled upon this place around 7 at night. At first glance we werent too sure , but after meeting the young lady at the desk, she let us check the room we rented it. Very basic, tv...

Stayed for one night during our trip through California. The owner's were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Bishop is a good place to stop off before entering Yosemite and cheaper. If staying ask the owner's to direct you to the Burger Barn. Great burgers sitting outdoors with the mountain backdrop.
