I have relocated to Big Bear Lake, California and stayed at the Fireside Lodge until I found a place to reside and had the most friendly, down to earth experience with the employees that worked there. First of all when I got there I met Jacquelyn who manages the lodge. She totally made me feel at home and went above...

We went to Big Bear on a whim and decided to stay at the Fireside Lodge based on what the reservations person described as a "nicely appointed" hotel. Pros: Friendly staff. Cons: Where to begin... 1) Furnishings and decor that have not seen an upgrade since 1981, my best guess. 2) Our "suite" had a smell of gas, which the...

Booked this Lodge a year ago, advertised on website as view of lake and complimentary bottle of wine .. we ended up with corner upstairs room close to the road (no lake view) and it took two days to collect the promised bottle of wine after several trips to the front desk to inquire about it, mentioning it was advertised...

It was required they make a copy of drivers license and credit card and put it in the top drawer and leaves it unlocked and unattended, as gal leaves to show...

I had to cancel my reservations, because my family had planned a huge birthday get together for me. It was suppose to be a surprise, but when my fiance found out about it, he knew he had to tell me. There was no way I wasn't going to show up for my OWN party! So unfortunately, I called the lodge...

The room was very nice. I would only give one complaint. It was obvious that it had not been vacuumed very well. We found pills on the floor from previous guest. Everything else was great, I would stay here again.

My husband and I have stayed at the Fireside Lodge 4 times now. We like that it's clean, with comfortable beds. The service at the desk was excellent. Jaqueline De La Mancha was so friendly and took care of all our needs. She made our visit special. Including the bottle of wine at check-in!! We plan on returning real soon...
