At the AC Hotel by Marriott Beverly Hills, guests enjoy the modern and stylish atmosphere, with particular praise for its clean, comfortable rooms. The prime location is a hit among visitors, offering easy access to Beverly Hills and Hollywood highlights. While the hotel's amenities, including the innovative robot service and the rooftop views, are well-received, some guests are taken aback by high parking fees and unexpected charges, which they feel affect the overall value. Service generally receives accolades for its professionalism, although there have been mentions of occasional inefficiencies.

I decided this hotel because I had previously stayed at Aventura Florida, and it was excellent. However, I was really surprised to see that this AC was not the same. The location is not as nice as they wrote in the reviews, it’s very noisy because of the constructions near it, The staff was very rude and not helpful at all. From the moment I checked in and got to the room, I had to immediately call the front desk to ask for another room because the one they gave me was not clean and smelled horrible, They changed the room and it improved a little bit, it was clean, it even had a sticker on the door stating that it was completely clean and sanitized, the first room didn’t have the sticker. Nonetheless, even though the room was better, the whole floor smelled terrible and there was a garbage bag next to the elevator, I took a photo of it because it was really shocking, disgusting and disappointing. As I mentioned, the staff wasn’t helpful, I had to call 3 times for towels, soap and shampoos, when they brought them the lady was very rude and almost threw the things at me like saying “there you go and stop calling”. At the lobby they have a section where you can buy something to eat and drink, when I approached the front desk to pay, they said they don’t accept cash just credit o debit, which in my opinion is not helpful. When I made the checkout I asked for the statement to see the balance, and the lady said that I was going to receive it in my mail, nothing has arrived yet. Something very important is when I made the reservation I chose pay later, and I found out that I was completely charged before I even arrive !

Stayed for 10 days in 1bedroom. Newer construction and excellent with hard surface floors instead of carpets for better cleanliness.

Relatively smaller room size and despite facing wilshire, no traffic noise on upper floors.

Hotel staff is very attentive and friendly. A necessity since parking is tandem and needs to have your key left at front desk in case car needs to be moved. Lot is extremely tight and parking fee of $40/day is excessive given the lack of convenience.

WiFi is fine and room service such as towels and sheets requests via the robot is convenient although housekeeping that’s only once a week for long stays seems a bit infrequent, perhaps every 2 or 3 days might be more desirable.

Recommended.

The AC Beverly Hills was my home away from home during the height of the pandemic. I could not be happier with my experience!

Check-in was smooth and efficient. I was greeted by Monica at reception who recognized my elite status and enabled my mobile key. Once settled in, ACE the robot butler greeted me with a note and amenity!

The hotel is centrally located to Rodeo, restaurants on 3rd and boutiques that line Melrose, while The Farmers Market and Grove are just a mile walk. Down the block, the folks that operate Sugarfish run an outpost with three solid options: Kazunori Handroll, Hiho Burgers and Uovo Pasta. As a foodie at heart, the convenience and location cannot be beat.

The hotel amenities far exceeded my expectations. The lobby terrace was a great to people watch. The Store off the lobby included an array of snacks, sandwiches, beer, and wine. The fitness center was equipped with a full set of dumbbells, kettlebells, a cable trainer and even a Peloton. The heated rooftop pool was the perfect spot to unwind while the rooftop patio had the most striking views of the Hollywood Hills.

Most importantly, the friendly staff provided me reassurance of their commitment to a clean and safe stay. All areas were clearly marked and spaced for social distancing while sanitizer was available on each floor. Wipes are even provided in the room.

Overall the hotel far exceeded my expectations. Kudos to Marriott for handpicking the perfect team and following through on their commitment!

Stayed in this hotel on September 8th, 2020. I’ve been moving from LA to Miami for the last week and after being exhausted and found myself without a bed this last night, I needed a place to stay.
Arrived around midnight and the doors were closed, i had to ring to get in, I treated the front desk nicely because you read around that they’re hypersensitive and can get revenge on you anytime, asked to get the Marriott points credited (have the Marriott gold category which means nothing to the staff) only to be surprised with room 1107 in front of the elevator. The room was tiny, it was supposed to be 299 sf but it was more like 99 and never got cold enough. I tried to take a shower but the Korres shower gel and body lotion bottles were almost empty (which didn’t seem very hygienic) and I could barely fit in the shower, so that was not an option. 30 minutes later I asked to have the AC checked bc it was way too hot and the maintenance guy started to slam the doors of the adjacent rooms so hard that I called to ask what was that about. He was checking other rooms for a better one and the doors make this noise (so many more rooms available?).
They changed me to another room, I was disappointed with why I wasn’t in this one in the first place, or any other than the first, nothing special but at least not the shoe box I was put on. Then again, no ac and I was sweating like a pig on their sheets that might as well be super effective cleaning iron cast skillets after a cookout with how bad they are. I finally complained about this and told them that if it wouldn’t get solved I would leave bc I simply couldn’t sleep hot and was super exhausted, which I ended up doing and as probably part of some sick game, the ac was back on.
Maybe they didn’t like my hair, or that I’m not white, or that I arrived late, God only knows. Unfortunately, I was too tired after not sleeping for 3 nights and not in the right mindset to be played out by the AC (oh the punchline) Marriot staff.
I called Marriott on the phone to see if they could refund that night and they said that the hotel found nothing wrong with the AC so no... but yes, there’s a lot wrong with the AC and with Marriott’s ACs.

As a Marriott Rewards member and frequent traveler I am saddened by the hotel’s operations and poor customer service (I guess that’s why they have the robot which may be the best addition to this Brand new two star property centrally located in Beverly Hills). I deliberately chose this hotel because of the historic brand expectation I have from staying at other East Coast locations. Although this was a Marriott it did not match the typical hotel experience.

Cons:
#1
Called front desk from room three separate times and no answer however so I had to walk downstairs to get my own towels and was told by front desk clerk they did not have hand towels.

#2
Trash outside of hotel (lessens curb appeal although phone recording boasts this is a brand new Beverly Hills hotel) leads me to question how persistently and thoroughly is the hotel around cleaning and disinfecting in general but even more now during Covid.
No housekeeping attendant cleaned room although I made the request.

Trash under front entrance sign along with overflowing trash bin.

Dirty elevators

Just think they were not full to capacity.

#3

Valet parking is complete disaster $40 for no attendant and overparked lot causing me to wait thirty minutes for the lot to clear just to drive thru the front entrance. This poor management and attention to parking is not ideal knowing people are often staying here for business and I ultimately missed my flight!!!!!!
When I made note of the delay to the hotel staff was given an excuse about the poos monitoring of parking. Of course this is the final straw. I mossed my flight waiting for the hotel to clear the lot so I could get out.

If you do happen to take your chances here’s what the hotel did offer: location, modern lobby, clean rooms, refrigerator in room, hard floors in hotel room, lit up do not disturb alert, pool, fitness center, computer for business use, complimentary brewed coffee is provided, conveniently located in Beverly hills.

I would not stay here again.

Below average hotel at not so average price.

1. The pool and the bar area are on the rooftop, but they are separate and not part of the same area. Basically the pool area is a tiny claustrophobic space with a tiny plunge pool overlooking Wilshire and to get to the rooftop bar you have to go back inside the hotel, walk through a corridor with guest rooms and at the other end of this corridor you will find a tiny rooftop bar area. All hotels have the pool and the bar in one place, this is such poor design, it is awful. The whole charm of LA hotels is having a nice pool & bar area overlooking the city as opposed to this.

2. There are restrooms at the pool and bar level, but they are always locked - morning time when I was using the pool and even in the evening when I went to the bar. What is the sense in keeping the restrooms locked and forcing guests to go down to their rooms to use the toilet? I have asked every single day to have these restrooms unlocked, I even spoke to someone who seemed to be the hotel manager and committed to have them open going forward. Surprise surprise - the next few days they were still locked! Extremely frustrating and annoying. When you’re on holiday you don’t want to deal with stupid little basic things like this, right?!

3. The location says Beverly Hills but it’s not really, it is in the middle of nowhere ob Wilshire, it’s a dead area. Literally you have nothing around - shops, restaurants, nothing. It didn’t bother me much since I had friends picking me up and dropping me back all the time, plus Uber. But don’t expect to be walking around any nice streets in this area as you won’t. LACMA is a 12 min walk away so at least that is convenient.

Other than this, the room is basic, but comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly enough, but nothing special, so don’t count on having any sort of service beyond the basics, which is fine. In a nutshell, I would not stay here again and I would also not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I visited the AC Beverly Hills back in February just before this crazy pandemic hit. I had previously stayed at the AC in Guadalajara Mexico two years ago and loved it so much I was excited to see how this one compared.

As soon as I entered the stylish and clean lobby I was greeted by a friendly Front Desk clerk and I’m sorry I can’t remember his name right now because he was super nice and helpful.

The rooms were clean and I especially liked the hard surface floors instead of carpet. Now with this pandemic going on it gives me more comfort knowing the floors are easier to clean when I go back.

The food was great and views from the rooftop pool were fun to sit and watch with my bottle of wine in one hand and snapping pictures with the other!

I can’t wait to return to the AC after this is all over.

In early August 2019 when we decided to go to CA for 10 days in November/December, I was so over-whelmed by the many negative hotel reviews in West Hollywood that I decided to find one through AAA.
AAA explained that many of the older hotels have very thin walls and that's why the rooms are so noisy.
After we both excluded more than 44 hotels in West Hollywood, AAA finally found this new Marriott Hotel in Beverly Hills with thick walls and equally thick window panes - we couldn't hear any noise from our next door neighbors nor from Wilshire Blvd.

We had a quiet room on the 8th floor with walk-in shower, two queensize beds (very comfortable mattresses), plenty of pillows and a. c. functioned very well.
Clean bathroom, clean towels, clean bed linens. It was such a pleasure to stay here.

The staff was very kind and the breakfast buffet was delicious.

By the way AC stands for Antonio Catalan, the owner of the hotel chain.

This is a wonderful hotel that we can recommend to our friends if they'll ever come to Los Angeles.

I'm coming up to Cedars Sinai hospital every 2 weeks and have been staying here each time. The hotel is clean, safe, and quiet. The rooms are comfortable and meet all of our overnight needs. We have been getting the "Work Anywhere Stay Pass" on weekdays package that includes late check out at 6 PM, parking, upgraded WiFi, and more. For $30ish extra dollars, it's totally worth it (and pays for itself when you consider the parking fee). I also recommend using the food delivery services (i.e. UberEats, Door Dash, etc.) to have dinner delivered to enjoy in your room with Netflix streaming. Very relaxing!
