Excellent stay 3 nights two days in Derawan Dive resort. The diving guide and its team (Tasik Diver) is excellent. They use real diving boat fully equip. The room is clean and spacious. Food is okay. All are sea view rooms. The only down side is currently they don't have wifi. See at least 15 mantas at Manta parade in...

Our experience of Derawan dive lodge was very disappointing. 2 dive boats just left sunk on the beach. Broken glass just off the beach so didn't want to risk swimming . 3 sun beds which we couldn't use because a dog with fleas & a nasty cancer growth in his ear slept on them. Felt sorry for the dog. Our...

You most likely go to Derawan to explore Sangalaki, Kakaban and Maratua. Derawan itself has a large amount of turtles swimming around, but there are just a few small places with some corals and any dives we did were made at the other islands. The lodge is working hard to keep the small beach tidy, but there is trash floating...

I've been with Tasik divers resort once in Manado (which was great) and unfortunately this one in Derawan is subpar. Pros: - Good food - Friendly staff - Room facilities work well Cons: - Dive trip management. We hardly saw any mantas in Sangalaki which was supposed to be the cleaning station. My friends and I had fight the current...

With tight budget, we are planning to have a dive lesson there as we missed our opportunity when we visit Gili Terawangan. Then searching where should we take...

The resort is on Derwan Island reachable from Berau airport by car (about 3 hours) and by speedboat (about 30 minutes). It is just on the beach and it has 10 rooms. Room quite confortable without table or closet for hanging clothes. Anyway the kind director mr. Christ provided us a table removing another forniture. Aircon and fan worked well...

We spent a week at DDL diving the range of Sangalaki, Kakaban, Mara Tua & Derawan sites. The diving was great, plenty to see, although the shore dives off Pulau Derawan itself were sadly spoiled a bit by uncontrolled development on and beyond the beach, as well as lots of garbage. DDL had a faded feel to it. The food...

Derawan Dive Lodge is a good option if you want to stay in Derawan. Their lodges are really confortable and also have some facilities that the other hotels in the island doesn't have. The restaurant of the hotel is the best in Derawan without doubt! With the staff very lovely and helpful every time, it make your stay very pleasant....

Great lodge to stay for divers and non-divers alike. Accommodation surpassed my expectations with well-working air conditioning and heaters (heaven-sent after a day of being in the ocean). Their boat is well-kept and spacious for their standards. Dive equipment are in good condition and complete in my opinion. Dive guides are very experienced and will help us spot things underwater....
