My husband and I stopped here on our way up to Reno. We had commented in the past that we should stop in Belden and check it out, and it was about lunch time, so this time we actually did. It was a Friday afternoon, and driving across the bridge to access Belden, it looked like we were entering a...

The room was remodeled...at least some of it. New carpet and fresh paint..but the mattress was the worst bed I ever slept on. Hard as a rock with a low spot at the side. Now my back hurts. There was hair in the shower and you could tell the cleaning people must be short because the edge around the top...

So you're driving along lovely Hwy 70 with no food in the car and you're starving! This place appears along the riverbank like a mirage, but when you get closer, you're not too sure, as it looks pretty rough and tumble.... But believe me, it's a good place to sit on the deck, watch the river, have a brewskie and...

Stop along Hwy 70 for a dinner break. Had a nice local brew, and burgers. We sat out on the deck to view the fall colors on the surrounding mountains and the river flowing by. The deck chairs are kinda funky for eating. Burgers were standard - took a long time for them to arrive. The accompanying salad was a...

I stayed at this delightful little camp lodge and it absolutely blew me away. The actual inn was like stepping into the Wild West mining community. The staff, especially Chris, were excellent. Food was fabulous, I recommend any of the omelettes. Only down side was the greedy little chunky bloke who charged me $2.00 for a postcard! But I got...

This is hard one to rate. It's a quaint little spot, lovely for many reasons. Remote waterfalls, the ability to splash around in the river like a kid, and the unforgettable friends you find in the bar, or in the campground. We've stayed in the double wide mobile, one of the cabins, and the hotel. The double wide was just...

I definitely wouldn't describe the Belden Town Resort & Lodge as that - it's more like a worn down motel. If you're attending the High Sierra Music Festival or meeting or are a Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) hiker then this might be the place to stay because it was clean and the location is perfect located on the PCT and...

We drove up the Feather River Canyon and the views if you haven't done this drive are stunning. In the summer there are various spots to swim when the water is high. It had just rained so the amount of waterfalls was amazing after a good rain. Call Cal Trans to make sure the road is open as it is...

My best friend had her wedding at Belden Town. It's an interested place. Initially, we were told that the whole place would be "shut down" for the entire wedding day. When we asked again a few months later we were basically laughed at and told "yea right! That's going to cost you!" Wonderful.. So we were going to be dealing...

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Belden Town Lodge. Our room had been freshly painted and was clean, quiet, and comfortable. As brojay73 said, it's somewhat rustic, so if you're expecting a resort with spa treatments and gourmet food, you should keep driving. But if you want a casual place with a very friendly and helpful staff (they...

“We had a room next to the parking area. It was pretty noisy right next to the party, but the place is not that large so it could be noisy anywhere. If we were going back, a cabin on the river would be preferred.”
