Though this is an older hotel lodge, the overall amenities make up for a few shortfalls along the way. This is a very good value with everything you need in one place with an excellent on-site restaurant, full bar with excellent cocktails, pool, hot tub, boat rentals, summer live bands and so much more. In-room jetted tubs in the lake front suites. Wood burning fireplaces for cozy winter ambiance. What is not to love?

We love the Pines. Its upper level rustic. We had a king dog friendly chalet. Recommend for family of up to 4. 2 preferred given the space. Roomy- buy maybe not for 4 adults. It was snowy, but not snowing. Think traditional cozy cabin. 2 stories, but there is a very steep staircase.

It was a great time, a good setup with appetizers, party favors, a photo booth, champagne, dancing, and fireworks, the biggest bang for your buck. The cabin was nice and cozy stocked with all kitchen untensils.

The view was breathtaking as you could see the lake clearly. The food was also good and the people there were very friendly. The cabin was warm and cozy. I would definitely visit again with my family. Highly recommended.

The Pines was so easy to get to with a beautiful drive in! The staff was very friendly and the market next to the registration office was the best find! Best of all, there was snow! We got about a foot of snow in one day, and the Pines staff had the on-site roads passable even while the snow was still coming down! Then the trip out was a breeze and even more scenic!
