We have been staying at The Pines resort for 40 years and won’t return after this weekends trip due to the management/owners lack of response to a Spring Break style party across multiple chalets parking spaces. This group brought in and set up for the entire weekend a sound system, floodlights, fire pits, tables and chairs in the public spaces. When front desk management was contacted multiple times we then called the GM/owner regarding the noise, language and inability for us to enjoy the outdoor space of our chalet or quiet INSIDE our chalet. THE MANAGEMENT REFUSED TO MAKE THEM STOP saying ‘They have booked multiple chalets for multiple nights.’ In other words, they want the revenue coming in from this group more than the satisfaction from the other guests. Vomit, trash and broken bottles all around our chalet upon checkout!…
The Pines Resort is a very cozy and inviting place! The staff was incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with, so I was always reassured that everything was going to go well. We went the first week of October and it wasn't incredibly busy yet, so we got in at a perfect time. We first stayed in the mountain side Chalet with an upstairs living room + kitchen and downstairs bedroom space. It also had a little studio and balcony. It wasn't as cold at night so we didn't get to use the fireplace, however, it's perfect for wintertime! It would have been even cozier! The chalet was beautiful and spacious! I could say that it had enough room to fit a whole family. We eventually switched over to the Lakeside King Spa Suite just to see what that was like and it's perfect for 2 people looking to relax and unwind on their getaway. It's more of a hotel room than a cabin and has all the amenities that you'd find in a suite except it does not have a full kitchen. It also comes with a nice hot tub/jacuzzi in the room. You also get a nice view of the lake on the balcony. There's a lot to do at that lake but I knew I was going kayaking no matter what! They offer different types of rentals on site but it’s a good idea to book ahead online. Everyone seemed so laid back and helpful there so I was pretty happy. They have a restaurant there called Ducey's On The Lake and you can dine breakfast, lunch, and dinner while having a clear view of the lake next to you! Upstairs, they have a bar and grill and that you should definitely check out as well. Food was delicious no matter which one you went to. The food portions are decent and will get you filled up. I would definitely come back here since my experience was nothing less of spectacular!…
The Pines Resort were excellent hosts. They were extremely kind to my friends and I and the service was prompt. The lakeside chalet was also incredibly cozy. The fireplace was great for making s'mores and the full kitchen allowed us to create our own feast. The resort is also a great spot since you can head to Yosemite National Park to see some natural wonders.
5 stars You want to come to the pines for the activities like mtb or yosemite or the events they have, for the quietness/it's a god spot to relax, and the location. Those three are absolutely 5 stars. Those are great. The room was 4 stars. Reason I say that is because a privacy cover on the spa had come off the tracks and the tiles around the fireplace and spa looked dated. Everything else looked in good condition and worked well. The view out my window every morning was spectacular and it had a balcony. The food was 3.5 stars. To clarify on the food the steakhouse is amazing, the bar and grill upstairs was really heavy for me (I got a burger both times, my bad not the pines) and the pre-made breakfast at the supermarket was also really heavy for me. KEEP IN MIND: I do not eat out a lot and my diet is really clean. The food is similar to richness to eating out anywhere else it might be a little heavier or lighter depending on what you get. Again highly recommend the steakhouse.…
I had such an amazing stay at this resort. Everyone was extremely welcoming and nice. I went with my friends and family, and we had such a great time.I definitely plan on going back and staying at this resort. I definitely recommend this resort.
We had a mother daughter mini vacay and decided The Pines Resort would be a relaxing retreat. It was one of the BEST stays we have had. The staff was helpful and always pleasant. They are always around making sure everything you need is taken care of, yet they are not intrusive on your stay. The cabins are roomy and well equipped with kitchen and bathroom supplies, Plenty of sitting space and a beautiful balcony with a view. Our cabin is dog friendly and perfect for bringing your best four legged friend along. The balcony is equipped with a bbq and picnic table and are quite roomy. Our cabin had the ability to connect the two cabins together by a door, including on the balcony (I thought that was a fabulous touch for large families using both spaces). The living space is upstairs and the sleeping and restroom is downstairs. Very easy to navigate, and the blackout curtains keep that bright morning sun out of your eyes. The fireplace was a big hit and thankfully the market carries duraflame logs, we purchased a few it was so nice to have the fire at night. Don’t miss out on dining at Ducey’s .. the sunset views are amazing and the large windows make for a wonderful full view of the lake, mountains and sunset. The menu is extensive and has everyone’s favorites. It was cooked to perfection and beyond delicious. When ordering steaks, very reminiscent of a steak house. The portions are plentiful and we had enough to bring back to the cabin for a late night snack by the fire. We enjoyed this stay so much we added another day and still didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back to stay again and again and again. There is fun to be had in any season here at The Pines Resort. October is Bear season and we definitely saw a few it was amazing.…
Beautiful view and excellent dining! Servers are so kind. Steaks are so juicy. I want to bring my family next vacation. Beds are excellent. Sunset view on clouds is facinating. 20 minutes from Yosemite. It is a good base camp to visit Yosemite.
On arrival we were blown away by the resort. Very friendly welcoming from front reception. Accommodation was nice. A bit of a tired feeling too, with lots of raised screws on decking. Poor lighting downstairs in the bedroom area. Facilities also tired looking.pool needed cleaning. It was also end of season so not much happening with some shops closed. We did have a lovely time here and trip out to the sugar pines railway is a must.
The most amazing customer service from EVERYONE. This is the best hotel in the United State very close to Yosemite national park, And hiking places,The room was clean and beds are very comfy and spacious and extremely comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for them at all at any time. We loved the pool and had lunch there, with amazing views of the lake. You can walk to the lake too and enjoy the sunset with rent a boat ,A wonderful experience from start to finish. Wonderful room, wonderful staff and great food and drink. Hotel is good for families and very quiet. Thanks so much 🧡
I loved our stay at Pines Lake Resort. There is fun to be had for all the family. Kathleen the manager was extremely kind and professional. In fact all staff at Pines Resort are very friendly. Everywhere in Pine Resort is clean and accomodating. It is a little village itself with all amenities one needs. We also made good use of the swimming pool and lake. The chalet was very cosy. We had the added bonus of seeing bears in their habitat, just amazing. I would love to go back to Pines Lake Resort one day.
