Christine at the front desk was so helpful and patient. I have to thank Operations Manager Lucia for making my stay especially comfortable. The room was clean and very spacious. I found the bed and pillows very comfortable and enjoyed a restful evening.
Lin was so helful checking everyone in at the same time. She was able to handle phone calls, customers with questions and check people in with reservations. Lin prioritized each client concerns with a smile and professional attitude. Thank you for a warm welcoming greeting!!!
I have stayed here in the past starting when it was new. Now they are charging parking ($10) per night in an area that does not have demand for parking. I did appreciate the upgrade to 2-bedroom suite but unnecessary when traveling solo. The worst part of this visit was the terrible smell in room 427. The best way I can describe smell was dirty feet and/or socks lingering in the entire room.
I am throughly disappointed in this location besides the room smelling like celery the rooms are not advertised correctly. One of the reasons we chose to stay here was because of the mini kitchen. The website states that the rooms have a fully stocked kitchen. Welp....they don't. Scoured the entire room for a pan to cook some eggs in the morning because we would need to leave prior to breakfast being served downstairs just to find NO pans whatsoever. We inquired about getting a pan only to be told they don't have any.....at all....in any of the rooms. How the is this a fully stocked kitchen. I have silverware, dishes, glasses, spatulas, and storage containers, but not one single pan to cook anything in. So if cooking is important to you to help save a few dollars, stay somewhere else. I will be.…
Very nice hotel. Beds were super comfortable and the hot breakfast was great. There was a lot of power outlets. The room was very spacious and had a good-sized refrigerator. Note: I would come back here anytime.
We stayed one night on our way to Orange County. We were able to check-in early and got a free room upgrade. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is fairly new. There is a small hot tub at this hotel which we enjoyed. The free breakfast was nothing fancy and could have been better. There is plenty of restaurants and shopping centers nearby as well. I would definitely stay here again.
I had the opportunity to stay at this West Bakersfield property when business required me to be in the area. I initially had an issue with this property and did mention it on the Marriott survey that they email you after your stay. I actually received a response from the property GM. This property is on the newer side, so things worked well and properly. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. This property's suites were a bit on the small side comparable to another TPS property I stayed at in Merced, CA. The breakfast at the morning was similar to other TPS properties I had have stayed at and I felt was fine. I walked to the nearby Mexican restaurant - Senior Pepes. If in the area again, I would consider staying at this property again.
Unfortunately, we didn't return home in time to answer the survey for this hotel so I hope that corporate sees this post! This supposedly is a pet friendly hotel. $150 per stay/pet friendly (that doesn't include damage, that's extra) is not pet friendly to me. That's more than the room charge. We were told that they have to "bomb" the room after every pet stay and that's the reason why. I would love to see the bill proving that they did it after our stay. The furniture was quite beaten up and scratched already so you could tell it was saved as a pet room. The decor even had a dog applique on the pillow. Our cat stayed in her carrier nearly the entire time. There was a dog in the room next to ours that barked up a storm every time it was in the hall. It woke us up a couple times. Speaking of the decor, it could definitely use an update. The furniture looked like it was from the 50s and the pictures grouped together didn't even looked like they belonged together. We are titanium members and the majority of the Marriott affiliate hotels greet us as "Thank you for being a Titanium member" etc, would you like extra points or a marketplace item and we're given a small gift like a bottle of water or a bag of a few extra items. This place did nothing at all. The front desk clerk was not pleasant whatsoever. Interestingly though, the following morning when we were checking out, they were wrapping up cookies in small bags. Is that by chance what we should have been given???? But again, that clerk was not pleasant either, no "how was your stay or have a good day" as we checked out. The breakfast wasn't ready on time, tables weren't cleaned, no fat-free or skim milk available and the coffee wasn't kept filled. Since we are Titanium members, we stay at a lot of Marriott hotels and very few have gotten bad reviews from me. This is definitely the worse of the lot! We'll never stay here again.…
The hotel was immaculate, the employees were friendly and helpful. The rooms were modern, but not designed well. The TV cannot be watched comfortably from the couch, but it didn't detract from our opinion of the place. Would recommend for a single night or a long term stay
We stayed here for two nights recently and I am here to say that it was a great experience. The place is cozy, quiet, clean, and close to shops and restaurants within walking distance. Everything is availabe inside the rooms; details such as your morning coffee to soap, utensils, and everything else in between. they really make you comfortable and give your experience a "homey" feeling. Great job, thanks!
