The room itself was average, looked out over the petrol station. The bathroom was nice, looked like it had recently been decorated and the shower was lovely. The pool area was decent although you leave through the gym, then have to walk back in through the entrance (not great if you have been swimming). The receptionist was rude and not helpful - we even had to get the cleaning staff to get her to check us in. Breakfast had decent hot and cold food options. Ok for a 1 night stop.
Good Service and good central location. The room was a bit noisy as the hotel is located between the Costco gasoline station and Highways 58 and 99. The room was clean, but there were no extra outlets for charging devices.
Stayed at hotel as a stay over to LA; it was OK for a quick stop, but rooms are quite beat up around the edges (frayed shower curtains, peeling wallpaper, dirty floorboards), and on a different trip we found a dirty sock in the corner. Ew. ALSO, the aircon units are EXTREMELY load, like wake you out of sleep loud. Would trip someplace else next time.
In the 4-day stay in this location, I was greeted by its staff twice the whole time. I guess I was invisible the rest of the time. Day 1, I called the front desk around 6:30 pm and right away been told "hold please" and was on hold for over 6 minutes (see photo). When the staff finally picked my call up and was informed of my issue re: TV connection, I was told "that's all I can do." The cable tv channel/stations were ok but when I was trying to connect to the Internet channels like Showtime and HBO, there was no connection (see photos). She, the staff, asked me if I want her to send someone to my room to check the TV connection; my response was "No but can you ask that person to check on the Internet TV channels on the other TV" like the one in the LOBBY if they are connected/working. She was very unhelpful and said "that's all I can do for you. Anything else you need help with?" Going back to my first statement - it explains why staff behave in such a way - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! I was initially placed at the top floor (Room 509 if I remember the number correctly. Awesome, right?) which is next to the elevator. Have you guys stayed in a room next to the elevator? I came back down to the front desk and the staff "knew" what's the issue with rooms next to the elevator and yet did not ask me if I am ok with it in the first place. I was moved to Room 418.…
Yes, it’s cheap. For many reasons. No breakfast, no fitness center access, no pool. Extremely noisy in the rooms at night from the nearby freeway and Rosedale Highway. There are many other motels within walking distance that are far superior. Do your research and read the reviews.
Our vacation was ruined by hotel representative who was rude and didn't inform us that breakfast wasn't available at the property. We paid for breakfast and chose hotel specifically that provided breakfast. If we knew ahead of time that breakfast wasn't available we would have gotten another hotel. We've lost almost an hour trying to call management and booking agency and that was after all day driving
I had a work function here in January. The staff were truly welcoming and accommodating with all the arrangements, and made the day of our event a no-brained for me. I would like to return here for future work meetings. If the weather had been warmer, we would have taken our meeting outside. They have lovely patio seating including fire pits. We also stayed in this new location. Not only were the rooms contemporary and comfortable, they had the feel of a more expensive hotel. Two very large TV’s were mounted and on, as I entered the room. Almost all of our party enjoyed the breakfast - which accommodates our non-dairy and gluten free people - and the gym. I’ll be staying here again the next time we have an event, and I suggest you do the same.
We really enjoyed the comfortable beds and the clean room. The rooms are simple, but nice. Big flat TV, microwave, kettle and a nice desktop is in the room. So everything you need. The Alarm has 2 USB plugs, which is very useful for tourists like us. Personal was friendly and very professional! Breakfast was a positive surprise for a hotel of this category. Much better than most of the Hampton Inns by Hilton!!!
We are supposed to check in tomorrow however the saddleridge fire is still going on now with 0% containment and it closes the only freeway driving up to Bakersfield from Los Angeles. Due to safety reasons I have to cancel at the last minute. Samantha who answered the phone was able to help me and cancel my reservation without penalty. Thank you so much for understanding and I will consider staying at this hotel the next time I go to Bakersfield, which is likely within the next 2 months. Praying that everyone living in the affected area will be ok.
Rooms are clean and tidy. Aircon worked well. Despite being close to the highway side we didn't get too much noise. Good pool, guest laundry and pleasant staff. The usual hotel breakfast but kept well stocked. Not in a picturesque location but good for quick stopover. Nice steakhouse next store, Walmart and a sketchers factory shop not too far down the road. Overall pretty good!
