we did not even want to walk barefoot in the room. larger room, bed was fine. NO fridge !! really ?? outdated.... but the price is not too bad. the little patio was a plus. really wish there was a fridge and not a coffee maker.
The worst customer service ever. The gal by the name of Kristen who works the night shift is the rudest receptionist that I think should not be allowed to deal with the public. On top of that the rooms are outdated and not very clean. The air conditioning system makes loud noises in the middle of the night that will wake you up.
This was a clean and convenient place to stay while I was working in Bakersfield. It’s a little bit rundown but not in a deal breaker way if that makes sense. The room number to identify my room had fallen off so I had to do a bit of guesswork. The light in the bathroom struggled to stay on at full power so it would flicker on and off quite a bit. The curtain in my room would not fully close but I did find the curtain rod laying next to the desk on the floor. Despite some of the rundown things about my room everything was very clean and the people were very nice.
They’re taking off the sheets at this hotel 🤬 According to the manager on duty, it was not known “they” would be parading around the hotel. So, I guess if it were kept a “secret”, it would have been acceptable! GTFOH…THIS IS two thousand twenty-two!!
When I read all the negative reviews I panicked about staying at this hotel, but it was lovely and economical! We came to visit family in Bakersfield and stayed at the holiday Inn express last time, that was a disappointment. I came across the Sheraton and picked it because it was close to our family's place. It was fresh, clean and comfortable. We even had a cute little balcony that over looked the pool! The surrounding neighborhood is also very nice. To top it all off it was much cheaper than the not so hot Holiday Inn. I will definitely stick with the Four Points Sheraton for our upcoming visits!
The price for this hotel was low, and the room was spacious, but it was poorly maintained. One of the wall light fixtures by the bed was broken, the carpet was dirty and spotted, the bathtub drained very slowly and the body wash dispenser in the tub was bone dry. Because of covid, there was no breakfast and the Keurig coffee maker had been removed from the room (though the clerk said there was coffee in the lobby in the morning. Also because of covid, the pool was closed. We were traveling down I5 and booked an overnight stay here, but did not check the location or realize the hotel is a 20 mile drive off the interstate.
I am platinum and was told all rooms are the same after checking in and asking during check in and then getting into the room which is a nightmare. This hotel has not been renovated since it was built which looks like 1970. The carpet is dirty - super stained, things are just broken and gross. Even the light switch switch was badly chipped. There are no elevators so have fun dragging your stuff up the stairs. I normally reviews like crazy before booking a hotel but was surprised how few points were needed to get this stay I just booked it. I didn’t fathom it could be bad bc had I paid, it was still one of the more expensive extended stay Bonvoy hotels. I would have rather have paid a lot to not stay here and be in a room that’s clean (minimum expectation). Shame on Bonvoy for this hotel. …
I was last hear about a decade ago and it doesn't look to have changed much. Granted, it would be nice if the owners would have put some money into the place to bring it up to post 2000 standards. The best thing about the hotel is the pool, which is 8 feet deep and quite large for a hotel of this stature.
We are Gold elite status with Marriott and were given an upgraded room so your experience may be different. The room is huge with a big comfortable bed, easy chair, microwave and fridge. Very friendly and helpful staff. If the restaurant was better I would have given a higher rating.
Share review Embed review Write an update Edit review 3/24/2020 I love Sheraton Hotels. However, NOT this one. DO NOT stay here. It is a Franchise that does not keep the Sheraton standard. It is a 2 star at best in regards to hotel level it was not all that clean either. The area it is in is not so great either. They have no idea what they are doing. I booked the room through an online site and when I arrived they said they had my reservation and gave me my room. The room looks like its still in the 1970's maybe early 80's. The worst part is that after we our 2 star pretending to be 3.5 star hotel they charged me again after I had already paid for the room online. I called to have it reversed and they said they would take care of it. I called about a month later and got the same baloney. I called again and they basically said that the other company charged me twice, which they did not. I have two separate charges one from the Four Points Sheraton Bakersfield and one from the online company. They could care less and basically said they could not help me. They have committed fraud and stolen my money. Unbelievable. Please patronize an honest, customer focused hotel and stay away from these crooks.…
