We were fortunate to secure the last reservation yesterday. Arrived late due to a 3 hour traffic delay so was dark and a bit spooky pulling in. But WOW the view this morning! Our rig was facing the Mississippi River which was about 150 yards away. There are benches on the bank for guests to sit and watch the barges and tug boats move down the Ol’ Mississippi. So peaceful sitting there this am watching the boats. We have this on our lists of campgrounds to visit again. Memphis is only 30 minute drive for those wanting entertainment.
Nice spot on the Mississippi if you are allowed in one of the river front spots. Was made to move to the back the next 4 nights after one night on the river. The front spot was left empty even though I asked to return every day. MANAGEMENT IS TERRIBLE. NEVER STAY HERE!!!
Very quiet, dog friendly with beautiful views of the Mississippi. More than one Bathroom And shower available also laundry. Spots angled for privacy but met some wonderful people and dogs. Close to Beale Street and Graceland.
Tom Sawyer RV Park is located right along the Mississippi River. The entrance into the park takes you through a wooded area, which has beautiful scenery. Upon arrival they are doing contactless check in and have your car tag and park map located at the front office. They have three areas to this campground: two are located on the river and one sits back into the trees with more shade. There is also 2 ponds located on site with fishing allowed. Sites are either concrete or gravel and mostly level. All sites are full hook up with 30/50 amp electric. They also have several bathhouses and laundry facilities, both which were clean. We stayed in site 29 (concrete). We could see the river from our site, but it was a walk to get river side. Site had ample shade and was far enough apart from other campers. We also had cell service (ATT) and the park provides wifi. Pros: •Clean campground •Spacious sites •Full hook ups with laundry facilities •WiFi included •Gorgeous views Cons: •Poison Ivy •Ticks, mosquitoes, snakes, etc...are thick…
Stayed here this past Tuesday. Awesome RV spots spaced far apart and overlooking the river. Bathroom/shower was very nice and clean. Didn’t have a car with us so tried for an Uber with no luck. Had to call a local taxi who brought us to Main Street in Memphis. Probably a 30 min drive. Traffic getting there was bad. Went to pearl oyster house - which I would NOT recommend. From Beale Street we Took Lyft back to RV. We would stay here again.
