The room is too old and dirty as four year ago (i think it isn't renovated for a long time). We have no choice to choose another place because this place is the nearest to Ijen. The dinner has no choice. You have to order the RP60,000 set. But you can order 1 set and share with your friends.

We booked a tour in Yogya and paid for upgraded accommodation, and they had us staying here.. It was filthy, no plugs worked, both our toilet and the hotel toilet was pretty repulsive, and the only dinner option offered was barely edible. Avoid staying here if you can.

We arrived at this home stay and have to say the standard of the rooms is very basic. We had not booked a room and there was some confusion with the hotel and we where put into a terrible room as the hotel was fully booked. The room was dark, the bathroom dirty. We where resigned to,staying here for one...

Room was so old, dirty and not enough ventilation. Out of a very limited choice we pick this one, because it's about 1 km to Bhawan waterfall, and only about 20 mins drive to Kawah Ijen. Going to Kawah Ijen we have to start trekking by 1:30-2 am since we want to catch Blue flame so with around 5 hours...

Travelling solo and stayed in Catimore homestay for a night. This place is not as bad as how the review have mentioned (probably for me). Room is small with a bathroom but it's clean and cosy for at least 1 or 2 nights stay. Additional plus point is that they are located near Kawah Ijen, like a half an hour...

Really expensive for what you get in the area there is limited options tho so price is high, was quite clean but needs improvement. Food was ok I was full afterwards but for what you get again expensive we arrived late so had no option but to have the food here but wouldn't if I was to stay again

The bathroom is dirty and simple. The condition of the beds in the triple room is really bad, with broken bed. As I book it through travel agency, I am not sure if it is worth of price. There is no restaurant nearby except the homestay restaurant. Regarding the dinner, there is only one choice (RP60,000). I think it is...

We were tricked into staying here by a transport company centered in Probolinggo, named "De Java Transport Tiket & Taxi Service". They organised a tour to Mt. Bromo and Kawah Ijen - luckily we sticked with our pre-booked hotel near Bromo. The location of Catimore Homestay is probably as close as you can get for Kawah Ijen; even though you...

I was told by the agent there's only 2 available chalet which is near to Kawah Ijen and Catimor is one of it. I was also been reminded by the agent for do not put high expectations considering this place was built in 1894 and located very remotely. However, I would expect to get at least a basic items like...

Whatever you do...."don't stay here"!!! Super excited I arrived in Homestay Catimor, looking forward to days of walking, exploring by motorbike and try the local food in the mountains away from the city. A little disappointed about the terrible state of the rooms/hotel, especially considering the price I paid but hey breakfast was included and i was close to waterfalls...
