Well located, well run, clean - rooms a little basic but great information and the trip they organised to see the Condors was amazing. Rooms in the front are a little noisy but good value for money . A thoroughly enjoyable experience

Popayán is Latin America's most picturesque and historic city. Hostel Caracol is a beautiful 18th Century colonial building in the heart of the colonial center. Lots to explore in this white washed city. Hostel Caracol also guides trips to Popayan's local volcano - Puracé National Natural Park. Best hostel in town, clean, great staff, coffee shop in front of the...

We paid 62,000 COP for a double room. Our room was next to the common area and when we checked in, we were told quiet time was from 9pm at night. The room was nice enough, with decent bed and lamps at each side. The shared bathrooms were kept clean, though the water was more warm than hot. But our...

The building has a covered inclosed courtyard where all the rooms and bathrooms are facing. none rooms have windows. When it's sunny the place is very hot and you feel there is no air. When it's raining water comes inside from roof into common space. The place mainly dorms are a bit damp. I had to ask to be moved....

Nice old building, good mattress; cons are the rooms face a big hallway so they have little windows, which means poor light and privacy. We had a decent room facing the courtyard that was quite loud very early in the morning. We were extremely tired after an almost 24h journey, and we were awaken by unpleasant voices of the staff...

Hostelworld showed all dorms full, so we booked a double room. When we arrived, we saw many free dorm beds. Good location. Helpful staff. Basic kitchen. Clean. Small cafe attached. Free bike rentals..

“All rooms are noisy and the 4 bed Mixed at the back is especially so . If you are a couple then I would recommend a room in the middle/ towards the back of the hostel . The front of the hostel is where the cafe , dining area and reception are . The cafe is a business that is the front of the hostel ( you have to walk through it to get to your room ) and it opens early .”
