The hotel was decent, clean and the best in the city. The rooms were cleaned exceptionally well everyday and I loved the water pressure in the shower. The restaurant and front desk staff were attentive, professional and nice. The only thing, and it's not a knock against the hotel but I noticed that throughout the city in general, hardly anyone speaks English. None of the restaurant staff spoke English and only a few people at the front desk but this was an issue I experienced at other restaurants and stores throughout Armenia.
We know hospitality induatry is suffering but this hotel charge high rate and the service is below any reasonable standards considering the rate, by far the most expensive hotel in the city. 1- mediocre check in - nobody was at reception and a bellman tried to do the check in while someome show up 2- Hotel does not provide anything to protect yourself against covid-19 they only checked temperature once and they do not provide any mask and/or hand sanitizer in the room 3- food quality and service is below standard. I waited over 5 min for someone to greet me at the restaurant, they do not know how to explain the dishes and table remains dirty as nobody clears dirty dishes. 4- no pool service at all, area is extremely dirty and you need to go and ask the restaurant staff for towels and then wait 10 minutes for them moreover when the towel comes is ripped with holes on it. 5- Spa is closed, lobby bar closed This hotel should not charge full rate id the provide 1/3 of the service.…
Very good hotel, stuff was friendly and overall I had a good time and pleasant time...breakfast was delicious. Close too many good location around. I highly recommend hotel Mocawa plaza to all my friends and relatives.
Start with the good, hotel is clean and appears to be well maintained. Rooms are standard for this level of hotel. The rooftop pool and lounge is very nice, all things you would expect. In my opinion, the difference between a basic stay and a great experience and fond memory is the way staff will help the guests and this is where the Mocawa falls well short. My wife left her card in the room and the counter staff would not ring the room to let me know she was in the lobby. She finally had to call me from a cell that another guest let her use. A young man wanted to put some decorations on the table in the restaurant as he was proposing to his girlfriend and front staff told him it was not possible. This morning while at breakfast, a table had several decorations for a birthday. My wife saw the young man later on in the day and he told her they went to use the pool and were told it was reserved?? I would think that when one is paying for a service, that service should be available to use. We tried to book the New Years dinner and were told we would be contacted. When we did not hear back, we again contacted the front counter and were told the dinner was full. We later found out there were several empty tables available. When walking into the lobby, not once were we greeted by the front staff. As the front counter personnel is the first experience people have with your establishment, I feel they put NO effort in making your stay enjoyable or helpful.…
