My husband and I stayed at Arowhon Pines for 1 night for our anniversary. It is a beautiful lodge situated right inside the Algonquin Park, with free access to canoes, paddle boards and hiking trails nearby. There's no wifi, which I love, so that we can stay disconnected for a day or two. We stayed in a cabin with a...

If you are looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life, this is the place to go - when you stop and listen, all you hear is nature except when the food bell rings! They have nice log cabins throughout the resort - you share the living room but have your own private room. There is a...

This was our first time to this wonderful resort in Algonquin Park. The first thing that we realized was the tranquility of this place and it's spectacular beauty The cabins were very very comfortable and we had equally spectacular views but underlying all of this was the fabulous food being served in the dining room of the resort Chef David...

This was the second leg of our Canadian adventure. The lodges were very comfortable in a great location. Don't go if you can't handle the Mosquitos (we couldn't). This was no fault of the lodge owners but it made our stay difficult as we had to go away from the property ever day. The food was excellent and the service...

Arowhon is a lovely place....nature wise. And most of the staff are very pleasant and accomodating, though occasionally the management can be grumpy. They have a new dock now so there's no more sinking into the water. The bathrooms were recently updated except for a few bathtubs. There are rumors that the rooms will be redesigned for the 2015 season...

We stayed at Arowhon Pines last weekend. It's more or less 20 minutes from the main road of Hwy 60. Bumpy, gravel and many puddled along the winding road going to the hotel, there are signs in the post to follow. Don't get scared if you didn't see the hotel right away it's in the middle of the forest. Since...

I recently spent a wonderful weekend at Arowhon and it was a pretty perfect experience. The setting is spectacular and Arowhon has respected the natural landscape by creating a natural environment. The food and service are well above average and the friendly staff really enhanced our stay. My only criticism, and it has been mentioned in previous reviews many times,...

We visited the resort a few weeks ago. From the moment we arrived we were confused, expecting more and always being let down. The dining hall is ok, very rustic. The property is ok, nothing special or remotely interesting, the accommodations...HORRIBLE. If you liked summer camp as a kid, you will love forking over tons of dough to feel like...

If you're looking for an escape thats truly peaceful this is where you need to come. Simple honest accommodation in modest wooden walled log cabins (we stayed in Tanglewood which has an amazing view over the lake) Its run by lovely informative people providing some of the best food i've maybe ever eaten! They send you off with delicious bespoke...
