While visiting Ottawa, we decided to get off the beaten path with a night in Algonquin Park. The drive out to the lodge was beautiful. We parked in the lot, which is ample in size, and placed our bags in the hut to be transported by the staff later. The walk into the lodge was very peaceful and easy. There...

Thank you for your review. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. There is a lot of work that goes on in the background to provide such a unique wilderness experience. We strive to make our guests feel as comfortable as possible. This hard work is reflected in our prices, which are clearly shown on the website....

It is rare that you return to a place that you remember fondly as a child, to find it every bit as magical and fun as you did back then, but that is the case with the Eco-lodge. I went as a child when it was a ski lodge and returned with my husband for a winter trip about 13...

We visited the Eco Lodge as a group of 4 adults from a Friday to Sunday. We easily found the marked road and had no trouble hiking in the 2.8 kms with our 50L packs. If you aren't a fan of hiking with your luggage you can arrange for a transfer with no issue. We stayed in the lakeside cabins...

This is an ideal getaway for anyone looking to get into the woods a bit, away from busy cottage life, campgrounds and the like, but still have some of the company of others and your basic needs taken care of. The micro-hydro provides just enough power to ensure there is some light at night and a great, home-cooked meal waiting...

A wonderful taste of Algonquin Park. Canoeing, hiking, swimming and a campfire all available within an arms reach of a rustic, cozy lodge with a great home cooked meal. The accommodating staff ensure that everyone's trip is enjoyable.

Our family of 4 had a most relaxing break at the Algonquin Eco lodge. The walk in is a wonderful way to detach from daily life and set the scene for some serious peace and serenity at this beautiful location. It was hot when we stayed so we spent our time canoeing and swimming with some short walks. The hot...

It delivers what it promises... a rustic atmosphere in a classic Algonquin setting. You are off the beaten path and you sense it. There are many spots on the pond to enjoy the scenery and take photos. The walk-in was invigorating.

We can really recommend . The 2 km walk was no problem because the luggage transport was organized. We can really recommend it.

Our trip was mainly to experience the harsh Canadian winter away from the city. Fortunately there we experienced the coldest night of the season. It was a very pleasant experience and definitely something to remember and cherish. The lodge is around 30 in hike from the parking lot. The wilderness around the lodge makes it special. There are no mobile...

Thank you for your nice review. The Family Day long weekend was the coldest weekend of the year, with temperatures dropping to -38C (without wind chill!). The electric heaters we have , that run off the power we create from the waterfall, combined with the large woodstove are quite capable of keeping the building cozy at -30C. For the few...
