Stayed here on a biking trip round West coast and were delighted. A beautiful room with stunning views of the sea. Everything a weary traveller could wish for from herbal tea to a wee "nip" provided. Really comfy bed too. Breakfast was superb. Freshly cooked in the kitchen where you sit at a giant family sized table. Food was delicious with home made waffles and cream on offer (will be having them next time!), a full Scottish or salmon. Will be back ASAP!

We stayed for a night and wish we had booked a few more. The view from the window was stunning and you are made to feel at home with lots of little niceties placed for your convenience. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and nothing was too much trouble. We all thoroughly enjoyed the seal trip, quite breathtaking views of the surrounding areas and Skye, but the children are made to be especially welcome!

Jane and Calum run a fantastic B&B. The location is second to none, overlooking the tranquil bay of Plockton. My wife and I could not have been more welcome, the environment was wonderfully calm and relaxing. The range and scale of the breakfasts was amazing and beautifully prepared. Attention to detail was brilliant, even home made cookies in our room. We spent 5 days here and enjoyed every minute. If you are visiting Plockton, I would highly recommend you book this wonderful B&B.

We stayed for a night in Plockton, and loved staying at Mackenzie's BnB. We had the room with double bed, very comfortable, and had its own bathroom. We were impressed by the wee dram in the room, as well as the kettle with real coffee and herbal teas, and a couple of little caramel treats. Jane, Callum and their daughter Fiona were all so friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast - wow what a choice! And also thoroughly enjoyed the seal trip (sighting guaranteed or your money back).

Very comfortable room, with whiskey, filter coffee and Tunnocks tea cakes on our tray!
Be sure to try the home made waffles with creme fraiche, blueberries, strawberry and maple syrup; they are absolutely amazing!
Jane, Callum and Fiona are really welcoming and couldn't do enough for us.
Fantastic!

Do yourself a favour. Go to Plockton. Stay With Callum, Jane and Fiona. Other than the terrifying experience of navigating Plockton's narrow streets filled with way too many cars, the village is beautiful and Mackenzie's Bed and Breakfast, across the road from the waterfront is a jewel. The rooms are small and comfortable and well fitted out and Jane and Fiona cheerfully put up with my mother-in-law, children aged 12 and 15 and my wife and I, and gave us a breakfast that saw us most of the way to the Isle of Harris! Would not hesitate to go back and definitely at the top of the list for any future visit to Scotland.

A friend recommended a stay in Plockton and we were not disappointed. However we couldn't get a reservation at any of the 3 hotels so chose Mrs Mackensie's instead. It was an inspired choice. Lovely cosy rooms, well appointed and spotless with better views than the hotels (and much quieter). Breakfast was excellent and our host was delightful. I'd certainly stay there again.

Recently stayed with Jane and Calum and can honestly say it's the BEST place we've stayed in Scotland. Everything about our stay was first class. Jane and Calum are incredible hosts. They can't do enough to help you and their hospitality is second to none. Rooms are beautifully presented and impeccably clean. Views are stunning too.
Breakfast is delicious. You get fruit salad, yoghurt, juices and cereals to start. Options of a full cooked breakfast or variations of, scrambled egg and smoked salmon and waffles and berries with creme fraiche to follow. All with toast and tea/coffee.

If you want to visit Plockton you must stay here!!!

I had stayed at the hotel in Plockton for one night in 2007 and had already fallen in love with the village, but staying at Mackenzie's added the final touch to the two nights I spent in Plockton in October (8th and 9th).. I had the single bedroom, which was small but perfectly formed and had views to die for. I was lucky with the weather but the combination of wonderful scenery and exceptional hospitality would have still been a winner in the pouring rain. I can only add to the compliments paid by others to Callum, Jane and Fiona ( shall never eat a waffle anywhere else in case the disappointment is too great). Plockton is, for my money, one of the half-dozen most beautiful places in the British Isles - and one of the others (Applecross) can easily be reached from Plockton. I shall certainly be back (dv) and, rather than asking if they have room on a particular day, I think it will be a case of asking when they can have me.
