A house full of character and with a very helpful and friendly host. Everything you'd expect of a B&B and at a reasonable price. Well located in the village. Breakfast was good. Room well appointed and comfortable. Ample parking on the street outside. We would happily return if visiting Plockton again.

We stayed two nights in one of the twin rooms with a window overlooking the harbour. Julia made us really welcome and advised us on where best to go. The room was large and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices which Julia adapted to what we wanted. The Captain's House was actually a Captain's...

Stayed here for one night in May during a cycle tour of the West Coast. Plockton is a beautiful village in Wester Ross and I'd recommend anyone touring Scotland to visit. The Captains House is a lovely, comfortable place to stay with much character. Julia made me feel very welcome and cooked a lovely breakfast for me in the morning....

We stayed here for three nights and the room was delightful and comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped and breakfast one of the best I have ever had. Wonderful pancakes. Julia even managed a super breakfast when her electricity had shorted out! I would return like a shot as we felt so welcome and at home.

I stayed 4 night at Julia's with my brother at the beginning of August and our stay could not be faulted. Julia even met us from the train station and dropped us into The Kyle of Lochalsh the following morning to pick up our hire-car. The bedroom was superb with a great view out of the side window and the...

What a fabulous welcome from Julia!! The twin room was so comfortable and spacious and we had everything we desired :-) Our friend was in the generous king size room opposite and it was amazing too! Situated perfectly on the main street between the Inn and the Hotel A beautiful weekend all round which was made even more perfect by...

The rooms have alot of character and Julia is very friendly and accommodating. You can come and go as you please because the door is never locked. You do however have a key to lock your individual room. The home cooked breakfast was delicious and there is a wide selection for those with meal restrictions. Will definitely be going back...

Recently spent a couple of nights in this beautiful Village and found this B& B via the Plockton Website. Captains House is over 200 years old and a lovely family home. We were made very welcome by Julie and enjoyed our breakfasts round a huge table with the other guests.

I selected this B & B on what I had read on other reviews on the internet. I was not disapointed. The room we had was large, was decorated with traditional furnishings - the bed was just right - I like it firm, but comfortable too. The en suite was small and functional. (my husband says it had good quality...

The Captains House is a real gem. It is a lovely traditional B&B with comfortable spacious rooms, great breakfast, superb hospitality, great price and great location. It is about as far away as possible from what you get with these horrible chain type lodges. It is tastefully furnished with family antiques and heirlooms and has a great history. Many thanks...
