Arrived in plockton quite late in the evening, after getting the ferry over from the Isle of Harris. We was unsure if the ferry would still be departing due to high winds that day, so we called the hostel that morning to book our rooms and informed the owner that we would let them know later if we would still... Stayed at the bunkhouse as part of a week long mountain biking road trip of the area with two friends. We had booked in for one night but liked plockton and the bunkhouse we stayed an extra night. The owner is very friendly and the bunkhouse itself is great, it has several dorm rooms and there was only the three... More

We stayed two nights in Plockton. We shared a 6bed dorm which was thankfully not fully booked as there was hardly any space to move and store your luggage for 4 people. The room was clean but I really didn't liked the linen. It was kinda like a sleeping bag which I found really uncomfortable. And as I freeze fast... More

Maybe we enjoyed it so much because there were not many people in it (stayed right after easter), but this little hostel is really picteresque, cozy and warm. The living room - kitchen on the first floor is really great, with big windows at the station, soft sofas and table games. Ten minutes walk from most beautifull Plockton. The lady... More

I didn't actually stay in the bunkhouse, but I did stay at the b and b which the owners have in their adjoining house. It's called 'Nessun Dorma' which is not particularly auspicious ! Just a couple of rooms, but reasonable prices and with a good breakfast. Owners friendly. Shower/loo is to share between the two rooms, so worth noting... More

Nice bunkhouse in the old signal box - consequently the lounge is light and airy with distant views of the mountains. Its handy for the station but the town is a bit of a hike. Dormitories a bit crowded - six bunks in a small room - four would have been about right.

My friend and I, he 60, me 59, were looking to take advantage of ScotRail's wonderful over 55 go anywhere £19 train ticket and had thought to spend a night as far away from Edinburgh as possible in a mountain bothy somewhere. Given the lack of day light at this time of year and the requirement to find wood to... More

The bunkhouse is on the outskirts of the village. The kitchen dining and lounge are are upstairs with the bedrooms and 2 shower rooms downstairs. Beds are comfy and come with sheet sleeping bags and quilts. 5 of us in a 6 bed room which was quite warm this year. The windows need to be kept closed due to the... More

Three of us stayed here for our friends' wedding, and it was absolutely perfect! Friendly staff and other residents, comfy beds, excellent services. We really weren't expecting it to have such a nice kitchen and lounge, 2 fridges, microwave, all crockery we needed, storage shelves, etc. Much nicer than staying in a hotel, and we met some lovely people!
