Had a lovely stay at The Culag on Thursday 6th Aug 2015. Has a real feel of a previous hunting / shooting / fishing period and the character still reflects this. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Floors creak but that's to be expected in an old house. All in all, very happy with our...

Hi just back from the most relaxing night at culag hotel. Room 30. Comfiest beds ever. Perfect size of room for our three person family and poochie boy. Dinner and breakfast fab. Staff and service excellent and very welcoming. Glad they had a lift because the stairs to the 3rd floor got the heart pumping. Being coming to Lochinver for...

Gorgeous old hotel full of character. Ordered food from bar but ate in lounge bar area. Cool that night but gas fire not lit - it wasn't turned on. Husband enjoyed trying some different scotches - owner very helpful and had so much knowledge. Gladly stay here again. Terrific internet connection. The bar lady and the waitress were superb -...

If you want to stay in a Marriot Hotel where every bedroom is identical to the last hotel go elsewhere. If you you want to be anonymous go elsewhere. This place is ideal for individuals who are still alive. Ken, Sheila and their regular customers have a real welcome for people who have come to have a good time. We...

Having read some of the other reviews I arrived with mixed feelings and while the decoration is dated and it's close to all the industrial units by the harbour that doesn't mean that it isn't a perfectly serviceable place to stay. The room was a decent size and came with the most massive kettle possible while also having tiny cups...

We arrived quite late without reservation. We got a nice spacious and clean room in an authentic hotel. This hotel has a interesting history. Dinner and breakfest were excellent. We will return to this hotel whenever we come back to Lochinver.

This was a severe disappointment all round. It was so off-putting that it was necessary to leave without staying. The place is old & substantial, but lacks warmth, smells dank, & was virtually empty. There is a lift, surprisingly, but needed to access the upper floors. The two rooms I viewed were both well below expectation. Rather unclean, damp, &...

We stayed in Lochinver for one night at Tigh Na Sith guest house, which I would thoroughly recommend and wandered over to the Wayfarers Arms at the Culag for a couple of drinks. The first person we encountered was Phil, a great host who made some helpful recommendations regarding the whiskies on sale. He seemed like a really nice guy....

Wonderful people who made us feel very welcome. We were quite a big group and sheila provided lovely breakfasts and nice packed lunches. The adjoining bar is great place to meet the locals. The hotel has A LOT of character and would be a great place for ghost hunters to visit.

Went here last night with my 2 daughters, season is nearly closed but the people we're overly lovely to us. Spoke to a few ladies and all were even more lovely than our meal. Our meal was great though and the fish was great ....no bones :)
