I regret already that we only stayed for one night. We were welcomed with a nice pot of tea and home baked cookies by Cherry, the most charming lady of the house. Our dinner was really nice, and served in the beatiful dinner room in old setting. Everything matched! We finished with a great single malt in the lounge. The...

The meal that four of us shared was exquisite. It may cost a couple of pounds more per head than the average around this part of Scotland but it is well worth it. The brilliant 'front of house', the cosy bar (without an actual bar), the stunning restaurant all work up to one of the best meals we'd ever had....

An amazing welcome and very dog friendly to our young puppy. Cherry was a fantastic host with excellent customer service, service I have not seen in a long while. Dinner and breakfast was outstanding!

Four of us dined here. We were met at the door by Cherry and made to feel immediately at home. The menu had a fair range of items with three of us choosing Smokie in a pokey as a starter. Smoked haddock mousse encased in smoked salmon and served with a subtle sauce - it was delicious! The pork belly,...

One of the best experiences you could wish for. Creagan House came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. As you'd expect, attention to detail was high on the agenda from reception to departure. Excellent evening meal and good wine list were the central point of my stay, excellent quality and presented in a lovely, very "homely" way by Cherry. Some...

I stayed here on my own as a stop off whilst on my way up into Scotland, and it made the start of my holiday brilliant. After initially booking with Creagan House i immediately received an email from Cherry asking whether I'd like to book dinner for the night I was staying... I explained that I'd love to but have...

Beautiful setting saw 3 red squirrels (first ever seen) as we parked the car near a beautiful waterfall. Cherry opened the door to welcome us and immediately offered tea and homemade shortbread which was very welcome. We stayed in Rowan Room so were able to watch squirrels from our window. The room was spacious and comfortable with Molton Brown products...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Creagan is a devil to define, but a delight to find! For an escape from life's fast lane and a real taste of Scotland, a visit to Creagan House is an experience never to be forgotten. This cosy farmhouse is only an hour from Edinburgh or Glasgow, but it feels like a million miles once inside, surrounded as it is by gorgeous highland scenery. An ideal base for a special occasion, whilst touring, or for a longer stay to explore the wealth of attractions and activities within easy reach. A renowned Restaurant with Rooms, where food is, without question, the heart of the house. It is country house cooking in the modern form, classically French based, using the best quality fresh, locally sourced produce whenever possible. Gordon and Cherry Gunn have owned, and continually improved this unique outpost of highland hospitality for 28 years and are proud of their many awards earned each year. These include 5 star Restaurant with Rooms Gold Award from VisitScotland and the AA. You can be assured of a warm and genuine welcome in this home away from home. ... more   less
