Lovely hotel, with very friendly and welcoming staff and owners, bedrooms very comfortable and bathrooms good. The house is old and quirky and plenty of parking eight outside. We had both breakfast and evening meal and both were excellent. Would love to stay again and hope to have a return visit one day. Thankyou.

We stayed one night at Glenbank when we went up for a workshop in the area. We were greeted by the very friendly owner Alex and given a very warm welcome and shown to our room which was large, spotlessly clean and very nicely furnished. We went down for an evening meal which was superb, although we were the only...

There's nothing catastrophically wrong with Glenbank but there's nothing that's good enough to make you want to return. It's a shame that the friendly owner's good intentions are let down by a lack of understanding of what guests expect in 2013. If you had a choice between this and a Premier Inn, you'd probably pick a Premier Inn, on the...

I stayed here for one night, travelling south from Scotland, Jedburgh was a suitable place to stop. I found Glenbank House and went in to see if they had a vacancy. I was met by the owner, Alex, who was very friendly. My room was clean and comfortable. I have a couple of pints in the bar - excellent beer!...

Stayed there for two nights in October and could not be happier with the reception or quality of the place. The rooms are spick and span, the morning breakfasts are brilliant and the restaurant for evening meals is equally as good. Thoroughly recommended.

I stayed at Glenbank for one night recently as a little break away from Edinburgh. Overall a good experience. The building itself is lovely and had some very nice little touches. The room was very good value at £60 (solo occupancy of the twin room), very comfortable, with everything you'd need. Breakfast was a cereal buffet table and hot food....

We enjoyed our short visit to this very attractive and friendly town complemented by a most comfortable stay at Glenbank. We had a big room at the front of the house. The bed was large and comfortable and the room well furnished. Breakfasts were very good - fresh food cooked to order - and the evening menu offers a range...

We are long distance walkers and are very clear about what we expect from accommodation. We were not disappointed. The room was very comfortable, the shower was excellent. The food at the restaurant was also excellent. We received a very warm welcome and were made to feel at home. We had to leave early to catch a bus and a...

We were very well cared for by mine host and the food was delicious. However we think we had the smallest room so if booking, check this out. OK for one night but for the price not good. The other rooms according to the layout for the fire rs all looked bigger. However apart from that we enjoyed our stay.

We held our anniversary party over a full weekend at The Glenbank House about a month ago. We hosted visitors from far and wide, all of whom agreed that the weekend was fabulous. This is due in no small part to the owners and staff at the hotel, as well as the accommodation itself. Owners: Could not have done more...
