Stayed in room 3 for two nights for a family and friends weekend in Glenridding. We received a very warm welcome from the owner and his wife My room was clean and cozy especially with the horrendous weather this weekend and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Great power shower and tele in room.... More

I do think it's over priced for what you get, £130 for a family room of 2 singles and a double bed squeezed in a room, the en suit had no light fitting and wires were exposed over the bath making us nervous about showering, also found the previous persons false finger nail in my bed after waking up, and... Ken gave us such a warm welcome this late morning and a fabulous breakfast and cracking cuppa. Thank you. We're regular visitors to the area and wanted to offer our support following recent floods - Glenridding is open for business!

Can not rate Mr and Mrs Pollock highly enough. Members of my family were cut off in the village due to storm. Mr pollock kept me informed by landline as to what was happening because there was no mobile. They were brilliant

First of all I would like to say a big Thank You to the owners of Fairlight Guest House! You made me feel very welcome. I was staying in room 5, this room had more than enough space for me & was very nice and warm! the bathroom has a shower and a bath with plenty of toiletries. The mountain... More

After a sail along Ullswater, we decided to stay in the area for lunch. Went to the Fairlight Guesthouse which is also a cafe. Ordered ham roll which although buttered was dry and had a few slices of no frills ham in, did get some spicy crisps with it (never liked them) and some coleslaw. My husband had sausage butty... It had an Ensuite bathroom and shower - excellent. The landlord was charming polite and helpful. The breakfasts were standard fayre but cooked perfectly to order. Based at the... More

We stayed here whilst attending a wedding across the road. Reasonable prices, clean rooms, generous breakfasts and attentive owners. The only downside was the licensed bar, limited selection of drinks and no actuall bar area to sit in. However overall we had a nice stay

Centrally located and comfortably furnished accommodation. Warm welcome and friendly host. Perfect base for rides or walks up to Helvellyn ridge or over to Ullswater. Reasonably priced. Will be back soon. Would recommend the Travellers Rest up the road for a great meal and some lovely local ales.

Dear U7940HFmichael Let me reply to this review in an honest balanced way. Your review is very unkind and not honest or accurate. You are obviously trying to hurt my business by saying don’t stay here. You arrived at 3pm and took two parking spaces with your car, I asked you nicely if you could move to one side so... More
