if you want glitzy, TV's, spa facilities etc don't stay here, however if you want a traditional hotel of great quality in a complete time warp then this is the hotel for you. We have just stayed for 5 days and just loved it, the eccentric waiting staff, the absolute to the second timetable of the hotel routine is just...

We stayed a couple of nights in a 3 bed room. Loved the atmosphere and the personality of the staff. 3. bed was not very comfortable, but our daughter is a good sleeper. Price is very reasonable. Breakfast included and good. Would be happy to stay again, but of course it will always be a choise weather to stay in...

Lots of charm, great breakfast with freshly sqweezd orange juice(important) and perfect location. Our room did not seem to have aircondition, but the temerature was not an issue. Perfect for hikers or trailrunners. Would stay there again.

Thanks so much to Catia and family for making this such a great holiday. This was our first holiday with our toddler and we were made to feel more than welcome by all at Hotel El Guia. The building is interesting and beautifully kept with some great views. The food is traditional and tasty. The location is perfect for both...

You don't need to book at this quaint old Soller townhouse restaurant. As you are shepherded in to the dining room, Senor, with moustache and stoop, escorts you firmly to a table. You will immediately notice portraits of his father and grandfather, both looking less than healthy, on the wall, surrounded by old oil paintings which we found worth a...

Staying at the El Guia is a specially memorable experience. As tourist accommodation becomes more standardized, the hotel’s unique qualities become particularly valuable. It is a family hotel and it is tempting to use a cliché and say that it offers the real Mallorca, not the internationally predictable. We stayed for a week and were most impressed by the way...

Wow! Only used restaurant, didn't stay here. Well if you enjoy different experiences, this is it. It is a complete time warp, back to the 50's...old charm waiters, very serious, over attentive, headmasterly! The food is fantastic, classic, Spanish cooking. Baby squid to die for, along with stuffed courgettes...and sole meunière a MUST... head waiter filleted it on our side...

A good base for a holiday in Soller if you just want to walk most of the day and are not bothered about TV. The breakfasts were good and different every day, and although we didnt eat in the hotel restaurant in the evening the menu was good as are reviews.

This was the first time I have traveled as a single person in several decades, so I wanted to go to a small, but charming family-run hotel where the staff would know me and look out for me. Hotel El Guia fit the bill perfectly. It is very well located on a quiet street literally steps away from the train...
