Yes, it is a beautifully renovated house with well appointed and comfortable rooms but it is the family who operate this establishment that make this place noteworthy and highly recommended. 'Old' Nafplio is a charming place to visit and the Aetoma Hotel is the perfect complement when staying in this lovely part of Greece.

Aetoma Hotel is just as beautiful as it looks in the photos and the mother and son who run it couldn't be more helpful and kind. Beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms and wonderful hospitality. An ample breakfast (including eggs) is served either in your room or in the common area. If I could give it a 10 for service I...

We are staying at the Aetoma as I write this, and I can only confirm what other reviewers have said. This little hotel is a gem. Perfectly located in this beautiful city, Aetoma is an immaculately kept up home with beautifully appointed guest rooms. The owners are the warmest, most hospitable people you can imagine. Breakfast is amazing. Do yourself...

Nafplio is a frequent travel destination for us and we had tried several times in the past to spend few days in this small beautiful-cosy hotel. This time it just happened-by luck! Very beautiful small hotel which can put you inside a time-capsule and travels you back to time.Old times feeling when Nafplio was the first capital of Greece. We chose the...

There is little to add to the previous reviews. Just perfect. The owner was helping us to park our car in front on the hotel on May , first. Mission impossible accomplished. Enjoyed the sunshine on our balcony.

My husband and I stayed at the Aetoma for 3 nights in the top floor Akrokeramo suite. The room was lovely, well laid out and the large "L" shaped terrace was perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The room was immaculate, clean and well-detailed.The bed was very comfortable and although we are only half way through our tour...

Upon our arrival, the owner/son greeted us with sincere enthusiasm. Once he had helped us with our bags and shown us our room, he sat down with us and a local map to orient us in terms of sights and restaurants to visit. He is genuinely interested in making ones's stay as comfortable and easy as possible. The complementary breakfast...

My wife and I visited Nafplio at the end of March this year and stayed at the Aetoma Hotel. Though called a hotel its more like staying with good friends or family. Akis and his mother ( the proprietor's ) took such good care of our wants and needs on a daily basis that we just felt right at home....

We picked the Aetoma Hotel for our one night in the charming town of Nafplio. When we pulled up to the hotel (in a small square in the town), Akis greeted us and told us how lucky we were because there was a parking spot right in front on the square. We hadn't noticed it - it was that small...

I can honestly say that of all the reviews I have written this is a true pleasure to write! We spent 13 days in Greece, eleven in Athens and 2 in Nafplio. Let me first say Hotel Aetoma is a Bed and Breakfast and as such offers a high degree of Personal service. When arriving Panagiota (owner) greeted us and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In Nafplion, a city of magical breeze and unique history, a revamped mansion of the 18th century combines the beauty of the past with the comforts of the present and creates the ideal environment for relaxation and exceptional holidays. The neoclassical luxury appears in each of the 5 hospitable rooms, one of which seems like it slipped silently and took its place in the loft. Visitors feel immediately that they have found both a familiar and unique place. ... more   less
