If you ask, I would say there's nowhere better than staying here in this Chateau. Waking up to the chirping of birds and sleeping under starry nights is the biggest bonus for a person who lives in the city her whole life. The homemade breakfast was fantastic which shouldn't be missed. The room is cozy, bed is comfy and bathroom...

The only thing that we regret is that we spent here only one night. The place has wonderful surroundings outside and friendly atmosphere inside. Here you can taste delicious homemade food, feel the authentic beauty of Provence village, fall into a tranquility, find yourself in a harmony with nature. The guest house is in 15 minutes walk to Verdon river,...

We were touring the Gorges du Verdon and decided to spend the night in the area. We found Le Colombier on the Internet and we were attracted by the photos and description. The place is run by a delightful Swiss couple and t was part of the "chateau" just in front of it (now a private residence). Our suite was...

I stayed here over Easter 2017 for a few days. Barbara & Tom welcomed us in as we were part of the family. We were well looked after with lots of helpful tips and suggestions by the hosts as well as home cooked dinners and very delicious French breakfasts. They were very considerate and even offered us their personal stash...

This was the most perfect 4 days I've had for a long time. Tom and Barbara were such friendly and helpful hosts, advising us of where to visit and booking canoeing and trips for us. We woke to the sun and birds, a morning run followed by the most amazing breakfasts of home-made bread, jams and yoghurt and all in...

We stayed at La Colombiere (unfortunately only) for three days in end of August. There's not much too add to all the other positive comments - the spot and its situation is the perfect location for an escape from "normal" life. Situated at the end of a small village in the hills within a breathtaking landscape and close to the...

Wonderful bed & breakfast with charming and welcoming hosts Tom and Barbara. The very comfortable rooms are in the converted stables of the original village manor house and estate and are tastefully and sensitively decorated. Our stay included a delicious breakfast al fresco on the terrace and our dinner in the village was superb. Saint Laurent du Verdon is a...

very beautiful house and surrounding area. Great first spot to meet Provence. Tom and Barbara are very nice too! Breakfast is just too delicious and so fresh. Tom does give great tips on the hiking and traveling in the region. Also we stayed for dinner, which was warm - not only meal, but the company of the hosts.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Originally built in the 17th century, La Colombiere is a unique old "mas" as they call it here in the Provence. It has recently been restored and is situated right behind the Chateau de Saint Laurent in the middle of olive groves and lavender fields. The attached pigeon coop gave the building its name and adds to the charm of this traditional Haute Provence farmhouse. La Colombiere offers spacious rooms with comfortable double beds, en-suite bathrooms and private entrance. Some of our rooms are furnished with a third bed which makes it ideal for families. Free wifi is available and most of the rooms access a private backyard or terrace. Located in the natural park of Verdon, Saint-Laurent du Verdon is a sleepy little village far away from busy roads but conveniently located in reach of all the attractions this beautiful area has to offer. A short winding path of about 1 km through neighboring fields brings you to one of the many lakes in the area where swimming and boating can be enjoyed. If you wish you can also start many hikes through the Verdon Natural Park right from our door step. ... more   less
