We stayed at La Coserie three years ago and couldn't wait to return... and this time we brought friends! Our hosts Marcel and Katharina made it feel like a homecoming. The food and service they provide is beyond compare. After a full breakfast and a day of touring, the evening meal with others from across Europe provides a unique and...

My brother and I had a fantastic time staying here. Marcel and Katarina (and Fado) were wonderful hosts, we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners chatting with them about all sorts of topics. It was certainly a highlight of our trip in the Loire Valley, and in France. There are many villages and vineyards in the area to see and I...

Have reviewed once already, but really have to say that this amazing place is a 'must stay at' if you are travelling down the western side of France. Great food, great location, meet great people - simply stunning. Find and read my previous review too.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The building is full of character and the rooms are very clean, cosy and well decorated. Kathy and Marcel are lovely people and great hosts; very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast and evening meals are very good as well as the wine. The pre-dinner aperitif in the cellar is very special. We would...

We spent one night (last week) on our way down to Maison des Amis in the Vendee ... it wasn't enough! Our hosts, Marcel and Katerina, made us so welcome from the minute we got there. Our room was fantastic and would embarass a 5-star hotel in my view (and cost a great deal less). We had dinner in the...

What a treat to arrive to a fantastic welcome from our hosts Marcel & Katerina. They immediately served us an ice cold beer to revive us after our journey. Checked into our rooms then down to the cellar for pre- diner drinks & nibbles, (bats included). We stayed for 4 nights but we didn't want to leave, ate 3 evenings...

My friends and I visited Las Closerie last week - what a great find! Katherina and Marcel are the perfect hosts and made us all so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and the rooms are brilliant. We loved visiting the cave for aperitifs and we had three fantastic meals served in the beautiful courtyard. Can't recommend this B&B enough...

We stayed at La Closerie earlier this week and can't rate it highly enough. Our lovely hosts Katherina and Marcel were so welcoming and helpful and our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The evening meals with our hosts and other guests were a highlight with many nationalities represented, the food delicious and the conversation most interesting. (Among their...

From the start we felt at home here. Arriving on a hot day we sat and had a drink and then got ready for drinks and nibbles in the bat cave at 7.15. Then to the table which in good weather is in the courtyard. Food good and fun to meet fellow travellers - French, English, Austrian and Belgian depending...

Previous reviews have said it all, really. Both Marcel and Katherina make you feel at home from the moment you arrive and are extremely knowledgeable about the region, providing excellent advice to help tailor your stay. Frankly, you would have to be pretty picky to find fault with anything! If you want a local bar or restaurant, though, you should...
