The Klosterbrau is typical of the grand hotels which sprung up across the Alps in the first half of the last century. It claims greater antiquity than most of them and celebrates its quincentenary this year, having started life as a monastery. As one would expect the rooms are large and the walls extremely thick. They are also modern and... More

We visited this hotel with friends. It's difficult to write a negative remark: everything was super in this hotel: everybody very friendly, every place (from room to restaurant to welness) was very neat. The breakfast was super: from smoked salmon, different preparations of eggs, different kind of juices, fruit,..... The dinner was always very good. Only I had sometimes the... More

When I stay at an hotel on my holiday, I want to be made to feel special, I want to be made to feel welcome, I want to be pampered. The hotel that gives me these, is to be recommended. If that hotel shows its trying harder, by also providing perfectly clean , well furnished rooms, which are attentively serviced... More

Fantastic bar for a good beer and laughter, bar full of locals but made to feel very very welcome by the staff and patrons.. Highlight was being introduced to the song macho macho... Saw the staff during the day and they went out their way to say hello

We spent our recent Christmas holidays at this Hotel and it was really fantastic. The Seyrling family treats the guests as family members. It it really wonderful! We really felt at home during the 12 days we were there. The food was superb and the service faultless. Excellent spa and wellness center. I strongly recommend this hotel. The village is... More

After visiting the monastery in Ettal, we were looking for somewhere to eat in a hurry and just walked across this road to this restaurant. We couldn't have chosen better. The service was efficient and pleasant, the menu choice likewise and the food when it came very tasty. We would recommend it.

Undoubtedly, it is one of the best hotels, we have ever been. Spacious rooms, comfortable and cosy. Many nice details. Nice spa. All in all certainly highly recommended. We also had one dinner at the hotel which also fulfilled the expectations one may have when staying in a 5-star hotel. Therefore, the question is why we do not give five... More

This was a return visit to the Klosterbrau and there had been some changes since my last visit, namely the spa/swimming pool area which was vastly improved. The fruit, dried fruit and various teas on offer were very welcome and a nice touch. The outdoor swimming pool was heated to a very pleasant temperature and the surrounding area was very... More
