If you like a no frills, quiet and lazy relaxed holiday with family and friends, this is the place. The hotel has everything you ask for from a family hotel - lawns, swimming pool, restaurant, guides. Have a lazy breakfast on the rooftop restaurant with the chaturbhuj temple in the backdrop. In the evening there is a local troop singing... More

On 23 July, 2016, we reached Orchha from Gwalior, by car. We were quite tired, and it was already dark. We were two families: The Wife, Junior and Yours Truly, and my friend, his wife, and younger daughter. There was a massive power cut in the area, and we were looking around for a place to stay, when we chanced... More

We spent three nights at Betwa Retreat in their very nice "tent" rooms. The location is excellent - super central and with gorgeous gardens. You feel a little like you are in a forest. Bathrooms have great hot water - air conditioner was a little touchy. Staff are lovely and food and coffee is excellent. There is a gorgeous pool... More

A friend set this up for us and told us we would be staying in a tent. Upon arrival, the tent turned out to be very large, had AC and a fridge. A bit worn at the edges but very quiet and clean. A great place to come back to after being down in the center with all the noise... More

This was to be one of our hopefully wonderful hotels and locations but unfortunately due to being provided with a bungalow directly opposite the hotel's generator and the fact that the interior of the bungalow was of a very tired state this was not to be the case. The hotel management were unwilling to provide alternative accommodation as they said... More

A quiet, beautiful property spread over hilly terrain where birdcalls and fragrance from flowering trees welcome visitors. Spic and span cleanliness, friendly and courteous staff and spacious bungalows with their own verandah overlooking the greenery outside, ensure that you will forget all the worries and pressures of citylife. Walk out to the river Betwa just outside the gates and across... More

We stayed in a tent for a night and expected a bit more for the price. The hotel is conveniently located (nor far from the river, yet not on the bank but on the other side of the road, good restaurant in the resort) and the surroundings are nice (vegetable garden, small pool and swings for kids) even though they... wonderful stay, swimming pool, parks, gardens, swings for children. What else do you need for a successful vacation with family ? We had a swiss cottage with garden all around. My daughter took bath in a tub in there. Service was good, food in restaurant okay too. We hired bicycles and went for city tour.
