This is a self claimed four star hotel but I doubt.
I booked this hotel for my guests. It is a good hotel but it could be better now a days even small hotels in MP Nagar Bhopal are more swanky and have nice interiors.
I choose this hotel because of its location. And not to mention its food.
The buffet lunch and dinner is very reasonably priced. Food is good
The rooms are big and comfortable. Tough furniture and fixtures are not very good and needs refurbishing. rest all is good with this hotel.

The surendra vilas hotel is a very warm and cosy lil property at a prime location of bhopal. Just a stone's throw away from the DB Mall of Bhopal, there is absolutely no dearth of entertainment & eating out options for business travelers of Bhopal who happen to spend the weekend or have some free leisure time in there schedules.
The property is mainly famous for featuring in a movie starring the legendary Amitabh Bachhan. Rooms are rather big, generous and spacious. The hotel provides complimentary internet, speeds of which are rather good and better than many hotels i have stayed in.
The breakfast spread is average and would suffice for most travelers. Service standards are pretty good and housekeeping is upto the mark too.
Nothing very special about the hotel, as it is a very VFM proposition for all business travelers who want to put up in a central location of the city.
Excellent VFM property on the whole, enjoyed my stay every time.

The hotel is located in the heart of Bhopal's commercial district and has done well to maintain the accommodation quality over the years.
The food is decent and so is the service - however, the location of the hotel gives it a distinct plus. The restaurant offers a good spread of food - and you may actually find the prices a little higher compared to other hotels of the same standard in the area.
Recommended for a business trip.

I'm a bussiness traveler, I found the location of the hotel was excellent as it was located in the heart of the city. During my short stay I found that the food and the service was very good and satisfactory. The hotel staff was very helpful and courteous, the rooms had an asthetic appeal and were fairly ventilated. I had a company visit to bhopal city. & before c/in the hotel i check all the good hotel in m.p, nagar and found this the best hotel in this area. bcoz of the Hotel location its just front of the only mall in bhopal city the front facing rooms view is very good Rooms size is bigger thn another hotel. Great pple great food specially buffet lunch/Dinner at very reasonable cost. over all i was very much satisfied with my stay....................

I had recently visited Bhopal for a wedding of my cousin and we were made to stay in Hotel Surendra Vilas for 5 nights. Its very well located, but the guys managing the hotel were quiet not friendly even being in the hospitality business. They charged us extra room nights because we were 15 mins late in vacationg rooms which I think was appauling considering we gave them a business of 15 rooms for 4 days continuously. I think that's the least which was expected out of them. Somehow the kitchen just did not understand the meaning of strong tea during my 5 days of stay there. Also one of the ceremonies was booked in one of their banquets which was smelling like a dead rat. When we pointed that out the owner and the management staff refused to cancel the booking. They was using sprays and exhaust fans to defuse the foul smell but did not agree to cancel the booking and charged some huge amount for cancellation.
All I have have to say is they are a old hotel and now getting out of shape.....they will have to pull their socks to survive in the hospitality industry, I will never recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.

This hotel is situated in the heart of Bhopal MP Nagar. One look from out side it doesnt look like a hotel because it is in the midst of a shopping complex. Even then when you enter the hotel you get a different feeling. Spacious rooms with excellent furniture well maintained. The passages and the rooms were very clean. Thanks to the good housekeeping staff. The restroom was very nice with modern fittings and very clean. The staff was very cooperative. Room service was very quick. Food was very tasty. Overall you feel nice being inside the well decorated room with a LCD. For a good shopping you can get out of the hotel which is surrounded by varieties of shops. For such a luxury stay the price was very reasonable. I would recommend everybody single or with family to stay in this hotel if ever you visit Bhopal.
