A perfect home stay experience. The property is bang on the banks of the upper lake with only a green lawn separating the lake and the house. You can sit in the backyard, can enjoy the beautiful lake view where a pleasant breeze is sure to greet you. There is a nice walkway by the side of the lake and you can step out of the property and can take a pleasant evening stroll. The location of the property is a huge plus. It's walking distance from VIP road which houses most of all the Mahals and Masjids built by the Begums of Bhopal. If you are a history buff, I am sure it will be extremely appealing to you. Our family of 4 and a friend were at Lago Villa on December 30th, 2016. From the beginning, our experience of reserving a room to getting directions to get here, everything was smooth and friendly. When we got there, it was like you entered hospitality in the best traditions of India. From the matriarch's graciousness and high standards of cleanliness to Rishi's information and recommendations, this was a five star experience. The rooms are large and clean, all with extra beds. Bathrooms are well appointed and clean, everything in great working condition. Food is tasty and homey and plentiful. Aunty gave us a little of the typical punjabi achaar that is made around this time. We will definitely go back here, if we visit Bhopal again. Recommended without hesitation!…

Great location by the lake side. Backyard of the house opens into the lake. Property is located in upmarket area of Bhopal, very close to the CM's residence. Hosts were charming and warm. Rooms are very well appointed. Will recommend to others wholeheartedly.

I had a brief stay here for 1 night . Enjoyed every bit of it . Right from their location infront of the Lake , Chirping of Birds in the garden , Presence of Squirrels to the walk one can have in the garden everything was beautiful . Breakfast was nice , Hospitality was at its best If you are nature lover , then this place is Not to be missed Will be back again for sure

The villa has an amazing location right on the lake. Very convenient to go for a jog or walk along the lake. The host, Rishi, is very welcoming and helpful. He helped me out with taxi bookings and gave good inputs about bhopal. The breakfast is simple, warm, home cooked and tasty. Way better than the large spread at hotels. I also had dinner one night. Did not miss my home food. It was just perfect. An additional high point for me was the quality of mattress. Given that I have a back problem, the mattress were exactly as I have at home giving me a very comfortable sleep. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else if I visit Bhopal again.

The property is right on the big lake and is well maintained The food is awesome and the host Rishi is welcoming and accommodative . Rooms are neat and clean and staff very helpful It is close by to boat club , National park. Definitely recommend this property .

Right on the banks of the Bhopal lake. Well furnished rooms. Decent breakfast to order. The location is the best deal for this property. Rishi was an excellent host and knows Bhopal throughly. The care takers are very good and meet the requirements. A must stay place in Bhopal.

Very good amenities. Good service too! Beautiful view overlooking the lake. I enjoyed my stay there and look forward to visiting again. The food was good too - homely and healthy! Highly recommend the place to all!

I would echo the sentiments of other travelers. Lago Villa's greatest USP is its location, being very close to CM's house and other popular attractions like the Tribal and Indira Gandhi Museums, Boat House etc. The bunglow is spick and span with a beautiful view of the Upper Lake visible from the balcony. The Khattar family goes a long way in making you feel at home with their unflinching hospitality and freshly cooked home made delicacies. You might have to face some difficulty in locating this place as it is not really known as 'Lago Villa' in that area. Do remember the house number '17 Shamla Road'. It is in the lane next to SBI.

I have been visiting Bhopal quite often for official purposes & used to stay at Business hotels near the ISBT, however this time I tried to explore & based on the reviews I booked Lago Villa & I am so happy I did it. Advantages: 1. In the city yet in the most peaceful place of the city. 2. It is very relaxing, you get to see the lake from property itself, lake is just at the doorstep of the backyard. 3. Rooms are very hygienic, neat & clean, spacious. 4. You can go for morning, evening walks ..do yoga & just enjoy the view of lake. 5. It is very well connected & I see no trouble staying here. I see no disadvantage staying here ....experience it you would love it !!
