We had a very pleasant stay in Lago Villa, Bhopal for 2 nights/3 days. The place has many positives for couple / family stay. The host Mr Rishi is very welcoming, accomodating & helpful. On arrival we requested for a change of room which was immediately arranged. He also helped in arranging cabs & guided us with many helpful suggestions. The location is possibly the best in Bhopal in a calm & peaceful residential area right on the bank of upper lake, beautiful lake-view rooms, you get on to the lovely walk along the banks of the lake just on opening the residence gate. It's very proximate to the prime sight-seeing spots in Bhopal like Van Vihar, Boat Club, Tribal Museums etc. The rooms are well-appointed, the attendants helpful, & your stay is complemented by nice home-cooked…
Lago Villa is a beautiful and exclusively stay place for the traveller who want to enjoy its beautiful natural surroundings : Famous Upper Lake and Garden. The room is very comfortable and the promoter takes personal care of the guest.
We stayed in 'Magneficio' room. A large clean room with a huge window over looking garden and lake. Clean toilet and lenin as well. Breakfast was home cooked fresh and sumptuous. Though standard fare of bread, butter, jam, egg, tea coffee, fruit and one more dish. Easy approach to lake walkway and other locations makes it an ideal homestay. Mr Rishi, the owner is really polite and helpful. Comfortable stay.

I stayed at Lagovilla for three weeks when I was in Bhopal doing PhD research. i was extremely comfortable and happy there! The breakfast (toast w/ butter and jam, eggs any style you like, aloo toasts, chai or coffee, fruit) and dinner are wonderful, homemade with love. I asked for a tiffin for lunches and got a wonderful paratha roll with sabzi packed for me daily! The rooms are large, great for families or single travelers like myself (especially solo female travelers), and very clean. The backyard opens on to the lake view walk next to the bara talaab, which is beautiful, especially during sunrise and sunset. Rishi and the whole family are warm, open, helpful and friendly. When I fell sick with a bad stomach, everyone checked on me to make sure I had everything I needed. Each…
Well appointed big rooms and bathrooms. Very clean and right next to the lake. We stayed for around 6 nights as a family with 3 children under 9 yrs. We simply enjoyed it. Very accommodating and pleasant hosts who do the needful on request. We stayed in two of the rooms - the one with the lakeview and the one with no windows but just a ventilator. The latter is noisy when they switch on the motor in the morning. But they are obliging if we ask them to turn it on later. Both rooms were really good. Clean big bathrooms with hot water facilities. Very good and clean bed linen. The only thing I would change about the rooms would be the paintings that are too suggestive though abstract.. ended up explaining to our boys that they are not appropriate. Food was repetitive with just…
We had a huge room and bathroom. Very clean, well kept and very comfortable. The backyard opens up to the lake, so amazing views just standing here. The potato sandwiches served for breakfast was really good. The owner of the homestay was very hlpful in arranging vehicle for our nearby places trips.
Terrific view of the Lake, clean and tidy rooms. Lovely hosts who interact with their guests, give us options for food and home cooked meals. The flexibility is also very pleasing - our bags were kept despite our having checked out as we wished to return an hour later than the check out time.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Lago Villa. Well located close to the edge of the lake it is in a nice area of town. We booked the one room of the three that had an uninterrupted lake view and did not regret it. The room was clean and well turned out and the bed very comfortable. It had direct access to the garden and it was nice to sit there and watch wildlife and people coming and going on the lakeside path. Rishi, the owner/manager, was incredibly helpful going well beyond anything that could reasonably be expected. He arranged trips, spoke to drivers, offered advice and was generally a great support. The evening meal is served separately, but is what the family is having that evening and is good value at 300 rupees. It is well cooked by the families cook. There is a…
A perfect home stay experience. The property is bang on the banks of the upper lake with only a green lawn separating the lake and the house. You can sit in the backyard, can enjoy the beautiful lake view where a pleasant breeze is sure to greet you. There is a nice walkway by the side of the lake and you can step out of the property and can take a pleasant evening stroll. The location of the property is a huge plus. It's walking distance from VIP road which houses most of all the Mahals and Masjids built by the Begums of Bhopal. If you are a history buff, I am sure it will be extremely appealing to you. The rooms are great. Being a homestay, you get nice home cooked food. Nothing over or under made, it's just about right. And a special mention for Mr Rishi Khattar, the owner of…
