I stayed here with my husband for two days and were well taken care by the warm hospitality of the owners who ensured every small detail was taken care of for our comfortable stay. On the onset we reached a earlier than the scheduled time and the owners were generous enough to treat us to warm home cooked vegetarian breakfast and arranged an early check in. The rooms were very clean and spacious with neat and well maintained washrooms. A dedicated staff is assigned for the well keep of all the guests who does a great job too. The highlight of this property is the view from the garden and the room of the lake which is beautiful and very peaceful. The hosts ensured timely and well prepared meals based on our requests and guided us on the major tourist attractions in the city.…

I was at the property for 2 days on a work trip, and the caretakers made sure everything was taken care of. Home cooked food, very safe arrangements, clean, tidy and spacious rooms and prompt room service. Will stay here again.
I stayed with family for two nights. Property is adjacent to Bada Talab, though not very easy to find on google map and called owner for directions(one has to pass through narrow lanes to reach there). Overall my experience was not good, though booked it after going through very good reviews posted by other travellers. Since its a home stay was not expecting much in terms of services but below are the points I would like to mention as guide to other travellers negatives 1. All rooms are in basement 2. No dedicated staff/helper(have cook/maid available but with time restrictions) 3. Don't have POS/Wallet/Digital payment options(I literally had to walk to nearest ATM in rain to get cash for payment) 4. Highly overpriced, I would have booked other 5 star property in town by adding…
I've stayed here thrice in as many rooms. They have only one with a view of the lake so make sure to ask for that when you book. The others are large but have NO view so if you want to stare at walls, then go ahead. All have big bathrooms and the rooms are well appointed with a desk, big bed, extra bed, tea service, TV and internet. Breakfast is served in a small dining hall and made to order - you can order any meal you like as long as its vegetarian. No booze or bar on site so carry your own if you want to tipple. The room with a view looks onto the upper lake with a view to die for. You can open the lock to the walking path and saunter along the lake, or just sit and gaze. The host is nice and friendly but I've never met him, only spoken when I call for directions. Getting…
Stayed here during a brief stopover in Bhopal. Lovely location, well appointed bedroom and bathroom. Homely Indian food available on request at a moderate price. The stunning part was the view from the bedroom. I can bet it'll be tough to find a similar view and access to the lake in Bhopal...
We stayed here for 2 nights and were bowled over by 3 things: the hospitality, the location and the rooms. The owner, Rishi, was the perfect host and extremely helpful. He was caring, gentle and most sensitive to the needs of a traveller. We were so comfortable in approaching him for anything. It is rare, and very fortunate, to have someone take so much care. It felt like staying in one’s own home. The location is simply amazing - the back side of the large house opens up to the big lake. And it’s about 20 feet away!!! Not only is it a lovely walk around the lake but the view from the room, dining room and garden is stunning. It’s like being on a serene vacation in the middle of a busy city. Moreover, the house is located in an upmarket and central part of Bhopal.…
This is a top quality guesthouse located on the Upper Lake. Our large room was modern with a separate sitting area and a direct lake view. Breakfast was delicious and there are both Indian and western options. The man responsible for breakfast also made us delicious chapati which we had with our dinner one night. What makes Lago Villa stand out is the owner - Rishi's helpfulness. He organized a driver for us to tour the city and transport to the airport. He also made restaurant suggestions and provided input into activity priorities. He made our stay special. Highly recommend.
The room I stayed in (Magnifico) was very spacious and well-maintained, with lots of closet space, ample tea/coffee supplies and a superb view of the lake across large windows. It was very silent, and nicely cleaned everyday. Hot water was plentiful and the linen and towels provided were reasonably clean. Just a warning, the large window is not one-way view only, so if your blinds are drawn up, guests walking in the verandah on their way to the lake and the morning walkers will be able to see right into your room. The host (Mr. Khattar) is a very congenial man. They must have upgraded the breakfast after the previous reviews, because every morning I was offered a choice of egg varieties, toasties, upma and bananas along with tea/coffee by the cook. Not a hotel buffet spread,…
