The villa is centrally located at Shamla Hills - a stone's throw away from the majestic sprawling Upper Lake. Parked smug like a lion’s den by the lake, the bungalow offers the most awe-inspiring & refreshing views of the Upper Lake, the flourishing verdant hills across and the minarets crowning the largest mosque of Asia. The bungalow is near most tourist attractions of the city. Whether your stay is for a day or a month - every moment spent here inspires a thought to reflect upon.

I am short of words to appreciate the hospitality received at Lago Villa. Its overwhelming and eternal. Thank you Mr. Rishi for making our stay flawless, comfortable and cherish able. The ambience as mentioned is adorable. The maintenance is meticulous. The Aunty is so generous and concerned about our stay that we never felt away from home. The cleanliness and interior is stunning. Every door you open, you find a table with a sanitizer. The hygiene is always been kept foremost after the covid waves. The view of बड़ा तालाब from the backside lawn is just not scenic but peaceful. The food being served is homemade with a touch of love and affection, as it is from my own kitchen. Rooms are exceptionally large, even the bathroom too. Enough parking place for four cars. The two pets, Tiger & Bullet were also so homely and lovable. I wish GLV all the very best and prosperity in future.

I have stayed at Rishi's home stay for 7 days (17-24 Dec 21) Must say; the host's family is warm, very cooperative & makes you feel at home. This property is in one of the posh areas in Bhopal. Lake view/ access is unparallel. What I most liked about the place is polite staff, low interference from the host, well maintained & clean rooms and ease of travel to virtually any part of town from this place. Special mention: Bullet and Tiger, 2 pets are absolutely adorable. I played a lot with them; they love you as one of the family member. Definitely revisiting this place.

We took two rooms at Lago Villa as a family of five during our Dusshera vacation to Bhopal. On many counts this was a memorable stay and we hope to be back again.

a. The rooms with a well maintained lawn are right next to the beautiful and serene Bhopal bada lake. This allows for a relaxed stay
b. The rooms are big and well-maintained. We had a comfortable stay.
c. Lago Villa is close to all the major places of interest in Bhopal. Shamla Hills is a great location and far away from the crowds. The sense of spaciousness - whether it be the rooms, the vllla or the roads outside makes for a charming feel.
d. Mr Khattar's mother took care of us lovingly and attentively . We experienced their warmth and hospitality and yet had the privacy of being together as a family
e. The guest kitchen gave us flexibility to make tea, snacks, etc. That was good
f. A big bonus were two wonderful dogs - they just love to play

A very clean and modern homestay with lovely little garden overlooking the lake where we had breakfast. Backside access to the lakefront park and walking trail is fantastic. Breakfast was lovely and the owner Rishi was very friendly. Definitely recommend this place.

It was definitely a wonderful experience staying with you and your family at Lago Villa. It felt just like staying with friends. Uncle and Aunty were very kind and hospitable and children were very charming. Jinny also became a good friend.

Room & Amenities: Very Good. Room was clean and well kept with all things in place. Washroom was also well provided for and clean.
Location:
1- I do not think any house can be better located and no 5 star property can come close the having a lawn, a waterfront like this for walks etc. My morning on 2nd Jul was perfect

Food:
1- Pappu is a great cook and I am afraid of staying at your place for long for I fear I may add weight quickly.
2- Menu was perfectly planned and ghar ka khana executed to perfection.

More than anything else, it was the warmth and kindness with which you and aunty took care that matters the most. I DO intend to stay with you next time and every time while in Bhopal. I will also suggest you to my colleagues who travel to Bhopal.

Thank you also for being sensitive to small small things-they do matter in the overall experience.

Thanks to Mr.Gaurav and family, our visit to Bhopal was extremely satisfying and comfortable. The room and bathroom was spacious and clean. An added attraction was the verandah and lawn. We had confirmed this homestay after many calls with Gaurav since 1)we wanted to be able to prepare baby food for our one yr old, hence needed access to their kitchen 2)i am extremely scared of dogs! Gaurav assured us about both these, thus making our stay a pleasant one. Complimenting all of this was the excellent homecooked hot yummy food! :D In our limited time spent at Bhopal we visited quite a few interesting places with his help of providing us brochures and arranging taxis whenever needed.

Excellent option to stay with the lake view. Gaurav is helpful and will sort out any problems.Home cooked breakfast in the morning to start your day and can stroll on the beautiful lake side.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bhopal.
The only problem we had was with house keeping services which at times were irregular.

Just in front of Bada Lake of Bhopal but you can't have view of lake from room in basement of this large bunglow.

I requested for two rooms but they had only one - they can offer 2-3 rooms but you have to inform in advance so they will vacant family member's own bedroom!

Chease Toad was gr8 and this is the only thing you can have - prepared by owner.

You can not get a person who can handle your bagages! You have to do it!

Response from gkhattar, Owner at Lago Villa
Responded 14 Mar 2011
Yes of course, the lake is not very clearly visible after dark. However, if the curtains are opened during daylight hours or if one steps out of this room into the patio attached, the Lake view is no doubt awesome. Now, with a stay of one night there is only one unlimited breakfast per person. As the duration of stay increases, the guests will certainly enjoy a large variety of flavours at various mini buffet meals they experience with our family. We do have occasional visiting family guests who occupy some of our rooms and situations which could come up in any home. So, availability of rooms varies from day to day. We would definitely not like our valued guests to take offense at the small size of our business. If we have more rooms available, we will endeavour to meet your requirements. We clearly promote ourselves as a home stay / specialty accommodation. Honestly speaking, we cannot function as and provide services like a regular hotel because we are not a fancy hotel. We seek to deliver a home like atmosphere where customers are treated with warmth and honoured as house guests. We would only like to delight our guests with our hospitality and give them a reason to smile when they think of us.

Had a great time in Bhopal, Lago Villa has great views of the lake. Short walk to Bhopal City and the Nature Reserve. We planned to stay for 2 days and stayed for 5, free bottles of drinking water, free WiFi, sitting area with a view of the lake. Its really safe here and a lot calmer and quieter than most other places I have stayed in India.

I am a photographer and we came here on the way back from the Kumbh Mela, this is possibly my girlfriends favourite place in India as she was able to sit on the Wifi and work in peace and luxury.

It is easy to forget you are paying to stay here and it is in fact a very well run business.

It is a chance to experience a little bit of non tourist Indian home life, get your laundry done, eat home cooked food and recover.
