Me and 4 of my friends here booked here as it's cheap and on the hippy side of Hampi. 5 of us wanted to stay together in one room to make it even cheaper, we arrived and could check in at 9.30 which was perfect as we arrived on a night bus early morning. The staff were very friendly and...

Rooms basic for 1200 rupees. Staff (except the young waiter) were extremely rude and unhelpful. We spent more time (and more money) at Nargila guesthouse due to friendlier staff and better service. There are plenty of places in Hampi to stay if recommend looking elsewhere.

We booked four nights in a budget double room at Hema Guest House on the strength of Tripadvisor reviews and Lonely Planet. We ended up only staying three nights before moving to another establishment because of our unpleasant experience. The mattresses were thin and so uncomfortable that my travelling companions were unable to sleep properly. The staff were rude and...

I had a few of the worst nights sleep of my life here. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, the rooms were not particularly clean (weird brown stains on the walls) and sound travelled so much that I woke up thinking people were in the room with us on a few occasions. The staff were fairly rude and non interested. If...

Whilst we expected basic rooms we were still very disappointed. The price has tripled since the listing in LP and is extremely overpriced. The walls of the rooms are badly stained, beds extremely uncomfortable and the rooms so thin walled you can hear your neighbours at all times making for a pretty terrible experience. We normally stay in basic guesthouses...

- Unable to create a simple breakfast on their own menu, food arrived cold, the toast was stale and I received the wrong type of eggs. - Rude and incompetent staff, they physically ignored us on several occasions and just waited for someone else to deal with it. - Laundry came a day later than was promised. - Wifi is...

The hut we stayed in was basic but clean. After haggling for a price (600 rupees) we decided to stay for 3 nights. Over the whole time we stayed there we didn't have even 1 decent nights sleep. The staff play music late into the night and at 5 am they start it up again as well as playing around...

Low key place.. literally. Very sporadic wifi, early morning power cuts . Otherwise clean rooms and bathrooms. ..although rooms on the left hand side ( from entrance looking inwards) had a mixed smell of washing liquids and stale air lingered...Which reduced if we kept the door ajar for a while. But will be there next time you unlock the door...

We stayed in Hema guest house for 3 days. They have small cottages in front and a few rooms in the back. This place is a no fuss place with all basic amenities but what separates it from other guest houses is people. The staff was very cordial and helping. The restaurant is a hit ,you can chill out for...

My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights at the end of august and would highly recommend staying at Hema. The rooms were clean and good value for the inexpensive price, and each bungalow comes with a hammock for relaxing after a long day seeing the monuments. We had the breakfast and dinner and both were good. The menu is...
