Visiting hampi in off season gave us an opportunity to see the real goan corner. On arrival the owner was lovely, yet it rapidly spiraled downhill. The rooms were incredibly dirty, crawling with insects and cats (you may consider it a private zoo) and desperately in need of tlc. Despite an attached washroom-there was no sink and no working flush....

Hidden the other side of the river (not hard to find with directions from locals), we caught a little motor boat across to Goan Corner. Great spot, set in tranquil gardens with a good atmosphere and surrounded by wildlife. Rooms had all amenities, fans, mosquito nets, hammocks and shared washrooms. The restaurant provided a great breakfast and place to meet...

Dog friendly place with a very friendly owner who loves talking to yo and showing around. Close to the sunset point and a lively backpacker's destination. Cheap and fun. Good food and drinks at affordable prices.

Reading here it seems some people had terrible experiences and that's a shame but I must say we loved it here and all I can say is it was excellent. I do know other people who were staying there were kept awake by the dogs barking and the people who were sleeping on the roof were quite abruptly moved to...

This place was the absolutely best place to be at in Hampi. The staff were absolutely amazing, the food was GREAT, and the vibe with the open sky rooftop, the outdoors cinema, and the layout of the restaurant was great. Wish I stayed here longer!

What an amazing place....so clean and inviting. Place perfectly in the area to give you some peace and quiet. All access to the restaurants and cooler bars (it's a religious city so boozing is tricky) are all on the hippy side including the night bus pick up but that extra 10min away for the main strip to give you perfect...

With temperatures soaring up to 41 degrees Celsius, March may not be the ideal time to visit Hampi. Nevertheless the Goan Corner was buzzing with tourists and backpackers. The huts are cozy, affordable and contain all essential amenities. The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. The food in the cafe could be a little better though (The shakes and fruits did not...

Super social. People that run the place really set the mood. Biggest hostel I've been to in India with awesome vibe. Everyone mixes and great place to meet people. Amazing scenery and great crowd. Super cheap if on the balcony or rooftop. Backpacker paradise. Would be nice to have a few things going on in the evening. Maybe a quiz...

Great staff, everyone knew your name before you even arrived! I slept on the roof which was 200 rupees a night. You get what you pay for. Shared bathroom with a mattress and a mosquito net. A place i would certainly recommend!
