Detailed Reviews
Our party of seven adults and one howling infant reached the hotel at 7:30AM on a Thursday morning and were informed that early check-in wasn't possible. On inquiring further we realized that rooms of a category lower than the one we had booked were available. On being asked to be accommodated in one such room we were told that a "downgrade" wasn't possible and would lead to audit issues. We then asked for an upgrade and were given the same response. After much cajoling, one room was provided. The rooms are spacious and functional. There is continuous running hot water and the hotel provides toiletries.
The hotel scores heavily on the location front. It is about a ten minute drive away from any major attraction in the heritage area. Hotel's restaurant staff is very helpful and the food served is quite hygienic and good.
Overall I would definitely give this hotel a try during my next visit.

Sometimes reviews are very misleading☹️. We visited Hampi for 3 days in Aug’20. We had originally chosen to stay in Hotel Mayura Bhubaneshwari, a government accommodation, mainly because of its convenient location near the Hampi places of attraction. But then we changed our decision and booked 3 nights in a private hotel in Hospet which is about 11kms from Hampi. And this was all due to some extremely bad reviews about the Mayura hotel regarding its maintenance and food. On the second day we decided to pay a visit to this hotel and have our lunch over there. After this experience we really repented our decision of not staying over there. We found that the building was far from being in a dilapidated condition, contrary to the bad reviews ! We had requested the hotel staff to let us see some dekuxe rooms and found them clean and quite well kept, even the bathrooms were very clean, which in majority of government accommodations are not so as per my experience. Next comes the food. We had ordered rice, chapati, dal, sabji and egg curry, also lassi. All of these were cooked in low spices and exactly met our expectations as per taste and quality. The green well cared for gardens surrounded the sprawling building was a bonus, as the ambiance was serene and peaceful far from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. I really don’t know what made some people to write so bad reviews about this accommodation!

We only stayed one night in the Deluxe Double Room. This is one of the few budget hotels near Hampi with plenty of parking, open space, and greenery. The rooms were clean, and the surroundings were well-kept. The front desk staff were also pleasant.
The dining experience is what ruins an otherwise truly wonderful experience. The guy in charge of the restaurant is unnecessarily rude and condescending. The food quality was subpar, and it reminded me of college "mess," and it felt like we were at his generosity.
I would recommend bypassing the meal offerings and instead using this location only as a place to stay.

Mayura Bhuvaneshwari is a big spacious property with lawn and car parking amidst greeneries. The single storied structure with nicely laid out rooms give a sort of aesthetic look. The open eating area is clean and cheerful. Food quality is ok and menu is similar to that of other Mayura hotels. The service is reasonably satisfactory. For kids it's enjoyable with lots of space around. They also made sleeping arrangement for the driver. Overall a good value hotel.

Excellent accommodation, very good costomer service, and good food at HotelMayura Bhubaneswari. But I didn't understand the charges for a semi deluxe room I got charged with Rs.2,463/- where inline it was showing 1,799/-. No receipt or bill for the payment done. We visited on 5th September and even during weekends the charges were 1799 online.

Hotel Mayura Bhuvaneshwari is situated at an excellent location when visiting Hampi / Kishkinda. Just 10 minutes drive from the UNESCO Heritage sites / Virupaksha Temple and about 30 mts drive to Anjaneya Hills (Birthplace of Shri Hanumanji).
Talking about property, it has a huge land bank, good for an evening stroll and ample parking space for cars / two wheelers. We had booked two Wooden cottages for two small families (four adults and two children), it seemed like the cottages were recently done up and hence no wear & tear, however we were quite disappointed with following points
1. Dining hall had rats roaming around
2. One of our wooden cottage also had a rat
3. Towels provided in the cottages were old & worn out
4. There were mosquitoes in the room when we checked in, although there was a mosquito repellent in the room, but the liquid in the container of the machine was empty, we requested three - four times and even showed it to them to change/refill but they did not bother at all, finally we had to get one each from the market.
5. On the 2nd day of check in there was a team of labourers/gardeners to begin garden work outside the cottage and these people continued working with loud voices, screams, and noise right outside the cottage disturbing the cottage occupants throughout the day. We requested if they could not make so much of noise but our request was completely ignored.
6. Both the dining halls, AC & Non AC
i. The service was extremely slow
ii. Cleaning of tables/Mats was not done unless asked for
iii. Crockery, Cutlery, Glassware was not suitable clean and hygienic
iv. More than Half of the items on menu were not available all throughout
v. Shortage of Staff leading to delayed food service
This property seemed more like a Government, state Guest house where the officially privileged were taken care of and provided services for.

Room: Rooms were of proper size. It's a KSTDC property. So nothing fancy but nothing to be complaint about.
Location: This is the important factor. The property is very closely located near the Hampi Monuments site. Usually it takes 3 days to discover the Hampi. Nearest town with good hotels is Hosapete and it is 12Kms from Hampi.
Location of this property saves lot of time and money when it comes to travel from Hosapete to Hampi everyday.
Food: The menu was ok. Quality of food was fine as well. Don't expect a buffet.
Staff: Staff was courteous. They know the value of tourists. Good people.

I stayed in this hotel with family for two days and the location is calm and quiet. Eventhough the property is little old the management kept the hotel rooms and surrondings clean and tidy . Restaurant serve good food and staffs are very polite. They have a good playground nearby and the location of hotel is close to most of the monuments. They will also arrange vehicles for touring if needed.

The property is very big with lawns and gardens, and good for morning stroll, with peacock cooing in the nearby forest area. But the rooms are highly priced and not maintained at all. There were insects and ants coming in the room and washroom from below the door. Their service was not good. Few staff members had some attitude issue, were rude to drivers and not customer-friendly. The food was okayish and tasted good. But I would not like to visit again.
