This property is best for being the closest decent hotel to the Hampi Ruins. You either have options that are more luxurious and expensive, or you ll have to stay at Hospet. The rooms are comfortable, but the Hotel does not have any other amenities, other than an indoor swimming pool. There is no spa or a bar currently. The food in the restaurant is very nice. The staff there, Mr. Zahid and his colleagues took good care of our needs, including our dietary requirements.
First the positives - this place has a few hardworking, sincere staff members - the hotel should be proud of their commitment to guest comfort and safety. Neelashri from front office, Zahind and Laxmilant from restuarant, and Prasad from house keeping are very helpful and proactive in service. Now to the negatives - the hotel rooms are dusty and smelly, the toilets are ill equipped and depressing. We had to change two rooms to escape the wrath of insects all over the place and the bed. For a tourist spot like Hampi, there should be a travel desk in place with guided tours on offer, cosidering the poor transport options. After a long drive to the hotel, the guest is reluctant to drive to the ruins and often needs procative help from the staffers, but none was forthcoming. Restaurant start timings are from an ancient era 12.30 in the noon, and 7.30 in the evening. Fortunately the food quality is super and the cook deserves special mention. car park is also decent and the staff there is cheerful. May Lord Hanuman inspire the owners and manegement of this chain hotel to up the quality and upkeep of this place which is strategically situtated bang opposite ASI.…
This hotel is positioned near to almost all the monuments. The food is good and the rooms are clean. Looks like this hotel fills up fast. If you select this hotel for your stay then you do not plan to enjoy the amenities. Point being, you are here bcoz u want to cover more places in a short time. This hotel has a swimming pool. Room service is good. The menu is limited. No alcohol being served. The staff are courteous and helpful. Mr.Zahid was prompt to make your stay comfortable. Thanking the entire staff of Clarks inn. Parking available. Cloak room available.
Stayed here for two nights as part of Hampi tour. Place is easily accessible. Location is on the main road opposite the museum. Rooms are average size but clean. They had some civil work going on in the corridor during our stay. But since we were out for most part of the day the noise didn't bother us much. Staff is reasonably friendly. Food is good. But the small staff is overworked during breakfast time. Still they do their best to reach out to everyone. All in all a decent place for a reasonable price. Pros - Location, cooperative staff, good breakfast spread. Cons - They can really do with some good senior supervisor for the restaurant staff. All the staff is young and they definitely need guidance. The force of the water in the shower is very very very low. On top of that the shower gel provided is sticky so takes lot of effort to wash away the gel and still keeps a gluey body no matter how much one rubs. Better to get your own bathing bar.…
The food was just amazing and very tasty. We always have veg food, and the food we got here was simply awesome. Loved the hospitality of the restaurant staff specially Zahid, the way he treated us in restaurant was fantastic. Overall it was a comfortable stay..
This hotel is budget category lodge charging you with 5 star pricing. The hotel rooms are dull and done with cheap materials, the bathroom and WC is all old and eveb though it is cleaned, it looks stained. The towels given were all torn. The Toiletries are not of good quality. Everything else is basic. We asked for tea to be served in pur room at 4 pm,They said that they have closed the restaurant after lunch and to call later. We agin called around 5.30 pm, they said they are preparing for dinner, the restaurant will open at 7pm and we can order for dinner. When we requested the restaurant manager to serve tea, he said they cannot. Later we called the reception, the girl at the reception was equally surprised that at 5.30pm the restaurant manager refused to serve tea. Only after her intervention, tea was served to us. The menu rates are equivalent to any 5 star hotel. Didn't see value for money. We booked this hotel, because the other premium hotels were booked for the weekend. Will never do that mistake again. Regretted it this time. We will travel only if those hotels have rooms available. …
This is a centrally located property in the expansive surroundings of erstwhile Vijayanagara empire. Although the best part is the restaurant that dishes out exceptional culinary secrets. Zahid was extremely helpful in deciding the menu while chef Krishna cooked the curries to perfection.
Our stay at Clarks Inn, Hampi was quite comfortable. Room size and facilities were adequate. The location is good, not very far from the main tourist spots (though one still needs a vehicle to reach them). Breakfast spread was also adequate. Overall a good value for money hotel. The best part about the hotel is the friendliness of the staff. Every member of the staff took care to ensure that our requests were taken care of. Must make a special mention of Zahid who was exceptionally helpful to our whole group. Kindly convey our thanks to him.
