Woke up to the morning sunrise in my room . Time for Breakfast and hot tea. Met Executive Chef Chowang at Hotel D polo, who wanted to know what our Dinner plans were. We 6 friends from Mumbai were keen for Himachali cuisine and Chef smiled and agreed . He introduced us to the famous Himachal traditional Dham. Basically Dham is served on special occasions like marriage functions. Dham is rice based meal served with traditional Madra - a yogurt based chickpea curry. Thukpa - famous soup, then Chefs recommended lauki Momos - which was super with the spicy chutney. Paneer and cheese patty was too good. Then for main course we had khatta meat, Also chana madra. Kangra Rajma with lots of ghee was absolutely dekh and finally finished the meal with meetha chawal.

The hotel staff is welcoming & courteous….To start with the reception area Karan with his team was swift with check in & polite. The team of the dining room was also soft spoken considerate of your needs. Housekeeping staff was prompt & swift in service I must compliment them for the way the render service. The entire team of D polo from the main gate guard to the reception food dining housekeeping puts an extra effort for making your stay super comfortable & splendid. D’Polo team Rocks!!!!

Amazing place to stay at Dharamshala. Rooms were clean and with a view of mountains or river. Roof top restaurant is the USP of this place. Food is amazing and they give promt services. There are in-house activities to keep the kids engaged. The chef took care of our requirements for providing less spicy food to the kid. Our special thanks to the Chef Chowang.

Am amazing hotel to stay in Dharamshala. The rooms are good with view of mountains on one side and river on other.. its around 3 km from the main market. The USP of the hotel is its the rooftop terrace with breathtaking and spectacular views. The food is also really good and the service is prompt and efficient. There is enough for kids to be engaged with carom, chess, ice hockey and many more activities.

Staying at D'Polo was an amazing experience! I would highly recommend the ‘D'Polo’ to anyone visiting Dharamshala. The rooms are extremely comfy and well equipped. The view from the room is very calming and pleasant having mountains on one side and river view on the other. The hotel is conveniently situated close to major attractions such as monasteries etc. The surroundings are so beautiful, serene, and soothing to the soul. My family and I all felt very uplifted, calm and relaxed! The staff is very quick and responsible towards guests. The food was outstanding, with a diverse menu and it was all possible because of the Executive Chef ‘Mr. Chowang’ who served us in the best way. He also served us very delicious Himachali food. He is really a gem of a person. Hats off to him! A special mention to the house-keeping staff member ‘Ankush’ who does his work perfectly and cleans the room very very neatly. If I ever visit Dharamshala again, I will definitely be coming to D'Polo again!…

D polo is an amazing experience that I would strongly recommend if you are visiting Dharamshala. The rooms are absolutely cozy and well equipped. The view from the room is so pleasant and delightful mountains on one side and river view on the other. Surroundings so serene and organic feels like meditation. The staff is so quick and responsible that you wish is their command. A special mention to house keeping staff member Priyanka who with a smile on her face made our stay so comfortable. My son remembers her even when we are back home as hotel didi. Strongly recommend this place
