The lodge has an unprepossessing entrance and is a beautifully sited overlooking the gorge. The well built lodge has maybe 8 or so spacious separate solid ensuite bungalows all with lovely views and sitting terraces looking across the valley's steep hillsides and gorge. They are spacious, comfortable, have good privacy and very quiet. This is the nicest and best lodging...

Part of my recent stay was as part of a small group and part of it was solo. I came to Bwindi to participate in two gorilla treks. This lodge is very close to the trek starting point, as well as to several other attractions - the Batya village, Ride for a Woman project and local shops. My room and...

We loved our stay at Mahogany Springs! Hot water was temperamental as with most places we stayed around Uganda's National parks. But, that is my only (and a very minor) complaint. The food was delicious with options varying from lamb and steaks to local fish and matoke. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Also, Mahogany Springs seemed very tied...

Mahogany Springs is a very friendly lodge set in close vicinity to the Impenetrable Forest and the Bwindi Mountain Gorillas. it is a perfect base for the gorilla trekking. The individual lodges are comfortable and well equipped with beautiful views across the valley. The staff cannot do enough to make you comfortable. Meal times are fun!

We really enjoyed our stay here, primarily for spending a day gorilla tracking. Good location, nice room (we were given the Honeymoon room) and very friendly and helpful staff. Food was very good. Lots of birdwatching from the restaurant decking or from our own room patio. Definitely recommended.

My two adult kids and I stayed here in this beautiful setting with a balcony where one both hears the outdoors and sees the outdoors. Unique sleeping quarters, nice hot showers and clean bathrooms, wonderful staff and good food. We took a tour of the Bwindi Forest, coffee growing, and banana beer making nearby. It was educational and insightful into...

The lodge is perfectly located looking directly at the hills at the edge of Bwundi National park, the setting is perfect for relaxing and reflecting. The staff, everyone from the front desk to the restaurant and house keeping are wonderful. They made us feel very welcome and their warmth was reflected in everything they did.
