Comfortable, clean, with beautiful views and an enthusiastic and attentive staff. For a "budget" stay in Bwindi, my wife and I found the camp a wonderful deal. The food was stand-out as well; the first night we were served really beautifully seasoned tilapia filets, and the second I enjoyed tender, well-marinated flank steak, both nights with tasty and filling side...

We had booked our Uganda safari through Sandfield Travel due to their budget price with our focus being on the animal experiences rather than the quality of accommodation and as such were extremely pleased with the quality of the Buhoma Community Rest Camp. Set in the heart of the community and tropical rain forest with great views and surrounded by...

This is a very basic camp with a mix of tents (that were cold at night) and some rooms. Unfortunately ours was a bit reminiscent of a cell, with concrete walls, windows that didn't shut and a sliding panel in the door to work the lock. There is no power in the rooms, but batteries etc can be charged in...

After a long journey from Lake Mburo to Bwindi via Queen Elizabeth National Park, we arrived at 7pm to a warm welcome and refreshing passionfruit juice. Dinner was all about portion size. My boyfriend just about managed but I only needed the soup rather than the main of carbohydrates which also came. The site seems to have expanded to accommodate...

This is as the name says a 'camp' and it is right in the rain forest. If you are looking for luxury then don't come here. However I was on a Gorilla trek and to stay in a place like this makes it all the more special. I stayed in Chameleon one of the permanent tents with a fantastic view...

There are many hotels in this park. Main problem is high fee in all these hotels. At first we tried to booking a hotel out of park ,but regard to time of starting tour in the morning in the park , it was nessary to be in the park over night. Among hotels , this hotel is the best budget....

We had a nice stay here while visiting the Gorilla's. We where lucky due to low season we got upgraded to a tent. It was very comfortable. Everything is damp but that's due to the rain forest. I do not recommend the food. My two other co travelers both got sick of it I luckily didn't.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights for the gorilla tracking experience. The hotel is situated overlooking the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which is really spectacular, and all the rooms are nestled into the jungle below the main common area. It can be a little dark climbing all the steps down to the rooms at night, so bring a...

The place is the cheapest you can get in this high priced area, and you get what you pay for. Tents are fine although a bit musty smelling, beds are fine, shower is hot. Food is ok, staff is friendly, view is nice. Nothing to complain about. We had a nice stay and would go again.

We stayed at The Buhoma Community Rest Camp while we were in Bwindi for gorilla trekking. No this place is not a 5 star hotel, but it is fantastic. The tents are placed with a view of the forrest and it is private. The personal was really friendly and the food was great. In general, I recommend Uganda. The people...
