Calm. Serene. Good country feel. We chose the coldest night of Autumn and had to deal with cold, rain and hail. This is something out of the hands of the establishment. We had an enjoyable stay and managed to go riding before we departed. The animals were, however, still in dense vegetation that gave them solace in the rain. The...

Thank you very much for your feedback. We hope to see you again perhaps in spring or summer :-) Meanwhile we are adding heaters during the current renovation/maintenance cycle.

The place is really not bad and not great either. Since it's a working farm the accommodation is extremely basic and caters for a person or family just looking to get out of town for some quite time or to reminisce on farm life. The tin roof though is noisy so whether it's the leaves or cats on the roof...

Enjoyed a peaceful and tranquil long weekend at TMR. The setting with the mountains was amazing and enjoyed all the farm animals and the long hikes. Esther was extremely helpful and efficient. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, the only issue were the ants taking over the house. My recommendation would be to fumigate the cottages before the guests arrive....

Thank you so much for giving us feedback on your stay. We are pleased you had a great time. Yup. Them tiny little black suckers have been somewhat pesky this summer after 2yrs of drought. We shall send in the armada this winter and win the war. Look forward to seeing you again.

The stay was nice. We loved the farm atmo. The bed did not sleep nice at all, but all others was excellent. The people are friendly and the vibe was great. The view off the mountain range was awesome.

Celebrating our 1st marriage anniversary, it was absolutely necessary for a quiet & romantic getaway! Thaba Manzi Ranch was perfect with its beautiful, open, green fields for our puppies to run freely, exquisite sunsets & the best place for a self-catering couple. So close that we drove after work! We'll definitely return with our friends! Thank you to the friendly...

Greetings, How gratifying to see that not only did you enjoy your visit but also how obviously you "get" what the ranch is all about. We will most certainly pass on your kind review of the staff and Esther your hostess all of whom we equally appreciate. All of us are pleased to know that we may see you again....

The property is absolutely beautifully located with views of the mountain and veld. To see and experience the horses and cows with the sounds and smells of a farm environment is truly relaxing and the walks enjoyable ( although one does have to "bundu-bash) most of the time. However the accommodation is terrible and R800 per night for the quality...

I am truly shocked at the bigoted undertones of your comment "domestic worker" an obvious code for racial prejudice. There are 37km of roads on the farm which guests who are allergic to "bundu bashing" are welcome to walk instead. As to horse-riding there are 13 horses on the farm and a simple request by you to your hostess Esther...

We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful place. A true "plaas" experience! If ever we have the opportunity to return we would be delighted. This is extremely well priced. If you are a laid back person with an open mind, this one is for you!

Thank you so much for your kind words. It is always good to hear from our guests and we are particularly pleased at your description of our being "a true plaas". Any time you want to visit again ask for the new "friends van die farm" deal. :-)

The photo's on the internet are very disbelieving. I would rather say that this place is rustic than anything else. I think that the owner should make a effort and upgrade here and there, the place looks rather neglected. On the other hand, it is very quiet, and there is plenty of place to take walks, and it is pet...

It was the best choice we could have made! It was tranquil and quiet. All staff were friendly and helpful when asked questions. Close to nearby nature reserve we spent the days looking at animals and being relaxed. We didn't want to leave, we wanted to stay there forever.

It not on how, impossible to find. There are no signs indicating were to go.The host was very abrasive on the phone when we tried to get directions and told us to follow the directions that he emailed us. The directions would have been helpful if this was in a suburb however the place is a farm located among other farms...

Seabelo, Upon booking you were given detailed directions (written) and asked to follow these rather than rely on GPS units. When we spoke on the phone you confirmed that you had these on your laptop and would use them to get to us after your GPS sent you astray. The next morning, after it was brought to my attention that...
