We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, exploring, eating, reading and relaxing. The grounds alongside the river provides such a beautiful backdrop, and the decor and design of the place is transportive to another time and place...

ALWAYS good to have our guests enjoying our lovely venue-- makes all the hard work and detail well worth it-- hope to have you with us again in the winter months when the fireplaces and provencal winter menu come into full swing!

This French themed place is perfect location for a Romantic weekend away. We loved the French themed alley way restuarant, the picnic basket breakfast at the riverside, and especially the service. The veg food was great! The "White Linen" room was crampy, needs a little maintenance, and a new mattress.

HI THERE, THX for the constructive criticism -- unfortunately that is the difference between the two venues the size of the rooms-- the stone cottages small and cosy like in EUROPE -- the French suites just that much bigger with better beds! WILL definitely look at the mattresses ! Hope TO have you in LA PROVENCE next time. A BIENTOT...

La Provence D'Afrique is everything it promises to be. We had a warm welcome on our arrival, was shown around and within less than an hour were chilling by the river with an amazing cheese basket and a bottle of ice cold wine. The dinner was an absolute delight. Our room was cosy and very neat and clean. The morning...

From the first "bonjour" upon enquiry to the late midnight welcome (due to flights etc), Marguerite and her excellent team made my partner and I feel at home. No request was too big to fulfil! The generous, comfortable bed helped me forget the hustle and bustle of city life. Breakfast by a stream?!?!?! What? AMAZING!!! The hot rock massage was...

Booked this accommodation based on the Web-site photos and description, also from reviews read on TripAdvisor...We were on a Ladies weekend. From arrival we were just disappointed. Quaint - yes, not modern - yes, BUT the place needs some care taking really. The Sheets, Towels, carpets, Curtains - all needs to be replaced in our opinion, there is VERY little...

Lovely accommodation and hospitality shown by the owner and caretakers Jeremiah and Thembani. Great atmosphere and the rooms have a distinct French flavour. Lovely place and would definitely recommended it

Oh so romantic. Was surprised for our wedding anniversary by hubby and was the most amazing weekend. Hosts were wonderful - gave you your privacy but made you feel so at home. Manager always available but never in your way. Room incredible and fire place just divine. Loved all the features and specially selected elements. The dinner in a basket...

The best place for a romantic getaway, staff are excellent in making you feel right at home and waiting on you hand and foot. What a wonderful experience, breakfast by the river was fabulous and very romantic. The Spa was very quaint and relaxing. Thank you Jeremiah for your wonderful service.

Romantic place, ideal for couples for a weekend getaway, close proximity to Magaliesburg centre and restaurants in the area. The hot stone massage was great. Rooms are well spaced apart and people there were friendly

It was terrible, the photos on the website are not the photos of the cottages interior, old and dilapidated! With a lot of road noise, it's situated right next to a busy road! One poor guy acts as the receptionist, Barman and room service all in one, so it could end up quite a wait for any of those services....
