This isn't the best hotel in town, but it does offer comfortable and spacious accommodation at a reasonable price. I arranged my booking by email a few days before I arrived here and it was very efficiently handled and we were shown to our room with a minimum of delay when we arrived and the porter helped with luggage with... Visited as a group of 12 today on the Titan "Tracks of Africa" tour for Afternoon tea. A fabulous couple of hours. Elegant crockery except the tea plates didn't match the rest of the set! Plenty of tea although not given a "Tea Menu" to choose from like at the Ritz, London. My husbands coffee was spilt on the table... More

The Lord Nelson is my favourite place to spend a couple of hours unwinding from the hustle and bustle. In winter there's a fire going in the original fireplace. Comfortable couches invite you to just relax with a drink or tea or coffee. Everyone is friendly and I feel so welcome. It's also great to watch sporting events in the... More

We stayed over a weekend in a triple room. The staff were attentive to our needs. Great location if you want to explore Simonstown. The rooms are basic. The decoder system and channels need some attention.

We stopped in for lunch on our way back to the train. The service staff was attentive. The food was very good. We had the Hake and the ribs. The hake was moist and the ribs were not overly sweet or sauced. They had a limited but good selection of wines.

I didn't stay in the inn, but I did bring my dad here for Sunday lunch. It was a lovely old school meal, a proper three course Sunday lunch with soup,Yorkshire pudding, roast beef and bread pudding. Delicious! Dad loved it!

We had a one night stay in Simonstown at the Lord Nelson inn. What a charming hotel and great service it was! Nice and comfortable beds with beautiful ocean's view, satellite TV (sports channels :)) and a perfect wifi connection. The breakfast was also very tasty and more then enough. Thanks and we will be definately back again when visiting!
