Really clean and refurbished BnB with large open rooms and great views of countryside . Warm welcome from owners rosemary and Derek with great cooked breakfast in the mornings. Recommend staying here with plenty of places to visit on the island

Rosemary and Derek have kept their place very clean and they are such gracious hosts. Breakfast is so sumptuous. They treat their guests more as friends. Would love to visit them again next year but not in August! We were camping and had to seek shelter because our tent was nearly blown away by gale force winds. We were referred...

Rosemary and Derek took us in after our tent got snapped in to with a rather strong 60mph winds. It was a truly wonderful experience not just because we were out of the hard elements but the fact was they facilities and friendliness was outstanding. We will come back for sure. Also loved the stories shared, espeically the one about...

We had a large ensuite-room with separate sleeping and seating areas. Everything was newly decorated and spotlessly clean. Rosemary and Derek proved to be very friendly hosts, giving advice on what to see on the island and making lovely breakfast.

We stayed for three nights in July. We had the upstairs double en suite with sitting area. Beautiful room with very light carpet and white rug. The rules of the house are that you leave your shoes at the door and put your slippers on. The inside decor is beautifull, but really not ideally suited for a bed and breakfast...

Stayed for 1 night after arrival on ferry from Mallaig. Large suite with sitting room, separate very spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and separate double bedroom section. Comfortable bed made for an excellent night's sleep. 2 TVs with satellite reception. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast made by Rosemary personally, very tasty and Rosemary's own knitted creations made for a...

Ard na Mara is a really well refurbished guest house. The rooms are really suites with a lounge area as well as the bed and en-suite bathroom. Everything is very new and of an excellent standard. Rosemary and her husband were very welcoming and friendly. We had good chats with them and they gave us good advice about the area....

Private bungalow run by Rosemary and her husband. Quite immaculately decorated and the hosts were very friendly. Excellently sized bedroom with its own seating area. Good breakfast. Private on site parking.

We stayed at Ard Na Mara for the final two nights of our two week cycling tour of the Scottish islands. In spite of our rather dishevelled appearance, after spending a day cycling in strong head winds, we were made very welcome on arrival with tea and coffee and biscuits, before being shown to our room. The room was immaculately...

The house is situated in a very quiet part of South Uist within easy reach of the beaches. It looks quite ordinary from outside but inside it has been upgraded to a superb level. The whole house is pristine with a beautiful lounge area where we were greeted by our hosts. Our room was like a mini suite with a...
