We stayed in a number of lodges on our birding trip and this was one of the better ones. We slept in the bungalow closest to the road and did hear the trucks passing along the road. The room was clean with decent linen and towels. Once we understood how the shower worked we did manage to get hot water....

A great location on the Manu Road and terrific bird feeders. Lots of great bird watching available by walking on the Manu road just next to the property also. Food was very tasty. The lodge was full on the night we stayed and we were given what appeared to be the least used two cabins. They had lots of roaches:...

The highlight was the feeders that attract hummingbirds, tanagers, and oropendulas. having the birds close by was a treat. The lodge itself has minimum comfort. Electricity is on only from 6 - 9 in the evening. There is no light at all in the rooms. A must is for the visitor to have a head lamp. The food is adequate.

We stayed here for just one night in July. In fact, we were the only ones there that evening so we had the place to ourselves, which was both eerie and neat at the same time. We arrived shortly before dark, after a long day on the road from Cusco with a couple of unexpected stops. We were met by...

We stayed here for 4 nights during a birdwatching trip to Manu. Agree with other comment, it is rustic, but extremely clean and well maintained. No electricity in the private cabanas, and the main dining hall only has power for a few hours each evening, but that is enough time to charge up cameras/cell phones etc. The dining room has...

We stayed here for two nights as part of a bird watching tour. It was rustic, but extremely clean and well-maintained. The manager, Wilberto, took care of everything from delivering our luggage, showing us the features of our bungalo, serving tables, to just being friendly. The lodge includes three meals per day which were very good. A couple of times...

It takes a full day to get there by (very bad) road from Cuzco. With the right attitude, the trip is itself quite interesting, though I wouldn't want to do it every week. Once there, you are in a cloud rain forest. Lots and lots of birds, which the guide knew how to find. Lodging was in huts separate from...

This is a great place for birding. Very clean - bathrooms in each cabin with hot water. There is no electric in the cabins but by nightfall you are so worn out you are ready for bed. The food is great!

The cabins are basic, clean & comfortable, with bathroom and hot shower. Candlelight is appropriate for this rain forest setting. The food is excellent, well prepared, ample portions, and a good variety. The staff is friendly and professional. The lodge is fitted with comfortable lounge chairs, but there is too much going on to relax in them for long.. Seats...

Dear guest Thank you for sharing the experience. We are glad you enjoyed it Indeed, the area in which the old lek used to be was washed out in 2011 mudslide. We are in the process of re-foresting the area and this takes 8 to 10 years without issues. We hope that soon the conditions will be better so that...

Each cabin is comfortable and provides all the needed amenities such as en-suite toilets, hot showers and comfortable beds.
