The hotel is in a good location close to the historic UNESCO town. The rooms were at best functional, but nothing to write home about. Certainly not 4*, more like 2*! We dined in the hotel restaurant which is located in a kind of large glass lean to, which made it quite cold. Luckily they switched on some heaters and...

The hotel is in the historic heart of Gjirokaster. It is an old building externally but the accommodation is perfectly acceptable. The hosts were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I was travelling with a cycling group and our guide was a regular visitor so that helped with the language for sure but even when the guide wasn't...

The only good thing is location which is near the historical center and the old bazaar, just under the old castle. Non working AC and stinky rooms with damaged walls from humidity. Breakfast was average and with some variety but not satisfying. Hot water took a lot of time to flow, and no hair dryer in the room/toilet.

It was just an overnight stay and it seemed to be just ¨ok¨. The room and bathroom were clean. The restaurant has a great view and the dinner and breakfast were excellent ! The staff seemed to be a little confused or inattentive.

There are good points, the position of the hotel is really convenient. Excellent view from the restaurant on the top floor The room we had was large. Our room was dreadful, it really needed a complete refurbishment. The bathroom was very small, the door only opened half way as the position of the sink stopped it from opening fully. The...

I'm sure the front rooms would have been very nice but our room on the side of the second floor seemed to reflect all the negative things we had heard about the Soviet era. The corridor was badly lit and it was not easy to see the keyhole in the door to unlock it. The room was cold, dark and...

Fine for a 1 night stay. Public areas are of a dated Soviet grandeur. Our room was clean and spacious - but as it was at the rear there was no view. The bathroom was very dated but functional. The hotel advertises that all rooms have balconies, some with forest view. We eventually located our tiny balcony (looking on to...

Our room was very spacious, good lighting with infact two front facing balconys with lovely views accross the lower part of the town, Bed good & firm although one side of the bed was difficult to access - but not a major problem for us. We could not find any English language news programme on the TV. Bathroom was OK...

We had a room on the third floor at the front of the hotel, giving us great views across the valley below. Our room was large, clean and well appointed. As usual, there were the usual Albanian quirks (the toilet bowl was so close to the bath that the only way to use it was to sit on it side-saddle!)...

Good location, impressive entrance hall but thereafter everything is very average. Problems with a non-flushing wc were not resolved despite assurance to the contrary but we coped and were pleased that we were moving on the next day.
