The staff were a bit toooo polite and even avoided making eye contact. Was perfect because we had the whole cottage to ourselves. The food food was poor, they should look into getting a chef.We went cycling, hiking and swimming in the mountain. The local guides were the best! Got to do some shopping too. Had the best time but...

Stayed here for one night before a Mulanje 3 day hiking trip at end Oct - was a great choice with excellent food and extremely hospitable staff. Left the car here and then was able to have a quick shower on my return before heading off. Highly recommended.

What a find ! We stopped for water at the beginning of our three day hike in the massif and stumbled across the guest book that recommended the great food. Upon our return we checked in with full board for a day and it was our best decision of the holiday ! Simply delicious and we had the whole place...

We spent one night over the weekend. The lodge was above our expectation. Friendly staff, delicious homemade food and extremely clean. Screened windows, mosquito-nets, a nice porch with a view. The lodge is a house with four bedrooms inside and one self-contained bedroom outside. All bedrooms with exception of one have single beds (three or four), nice windows and well...

We stayed here for 2 nights before and after our 3 day / 2 night stay up on the mountain. The rooms are comfortable, the atmosphere rustic and the food tasty. The guys that run the place are friendly. It's just inside the national park. Our guide (Lewis - 0881 28 48 52) met us there and we set off...

Likhabula Forest Lodge is friendly and comfortable. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. It's beautifully set and a good base for either climbing Mulanje or spending a restful weekend doing shorter walks and some bird/butterfly spotting and having the odd dip in the local rockpools. In terms of what could be done better - the beds...

Tranquil setting with amazingly friendly staff, Vegans and Vegetarians well catered to. Friday makes fabulos dishes on all days, including fridays. The charges are very reasonable and transparent. The place is ideal for the adventurous trekkers and also for amateurs.

We stayed for 2 nights at the lodge. The staff were exceptional - food lovely and the nearby natural pools one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. There is no wifi but a drink at a nearby lodge will allow you to use theirs if you need to. We climbed to the plateau which as an inexperienced walker...

Spent a delightful two nights at this simple lodge on the western slopes of Mount Mulange. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. All the staff were fantasticly friendly and always ready to satisfy our every need. Biggest surprise was the delicious food.

We stayed here before beginning our hike up mount mulanje, at the recommendation of our guide. However it was $11/night for a dorm room, extortionate compared to other Malawi prices and clearly an exploitation of the fact they are one of only two places to stay at the bottom of the mountain. The room was fine although the plugs didn't...
