Pampered camping at it's best! We stayed in a wonderful cabin, next we want to stay in a teepee, then the tree-house cabin - maybe even the bed & breakfast :) We had such a great time, enjoyed the grounds, the cabin, kayaking, canoeing, the animals, and the couple who own this place are so warm, friendly, and really nice...

Let me start by saying that the grounds/location are nice, it's a pretty spot. But it's too bad that the accomodations are less than nice. Cabins and tents were moldy, cabins were basically storage sheds with room air conditioners, bathrooms were disgusting. Everyone who comments that this is camping, well, the rates are not camping rates. The rates are those...

I live only an hour away and was looking for something to do for our anniversary. After reading some of the reviews I was afraid to try this place. We went for a drive and went by the place and as soon as we arrived I knew the bad reviews were in error. The grounds are wonderful and well kept....

We just returned yesterday from Diamond's John's & was sad to have to leave. The cabin we stayed in was fantastic & clean. The towels, bedding & all were clean despite what a few reviews stated. We had TV, microwave, small frig, coffee maker, AC & heat. The animals- goats, peacocks, ponies, geese, ducks, roosters, cats & dogs was like...

Nine women stayed two nights in the large teepee and had a BLAST! This was by far the best bachelorette party ever. We spent time looking for diamonds, relaxing on the river, hiking and laughing all night long. If you are a pretentious girl that loves to be pampered this is not the place for you. However, if you are...

Not knowing what all the town had to offer, we decided it would be fun to stay in teepees for the weekend.. and we were all (4 of us, all adults) pleasantly surprised! We went out during the day with Diamond Johns equipment and dug for diamonds.. then we came back in the afternoon and went out in the boats...

My 17 year old son and I traveled with friends to Diamond Johns. The area was so beautiful and restful. The kids loved playing in the river, riding on the kayaks, and playing with all the animals. The owners were very gracious and obviously loved their jobs. Please note, though, that these are "primitive" camp sites. This is NOT a...

My wife and I stayed three nights in one of the cabins at Diamond John's. I hunted diamonds at the state park for two intense days in the hot, hot sun. I came home wrecked at the end of each nine-hour day in the brutal sun. Diamond John's was a very welcome relief. The little cabin (and yes, it was...

This place has no business charging what it charges - the owner likes to call it camping, but I've stayed at much nicer campgrounds and paid much less. We stayed 2 nights and we saw all of the lodging accommodations (cabins and tepees). The cabins are no more than storage sheds and some have smaller storage sheds (bathrooms) added on....
